Last week, our Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) managers from across Europe came together for the annual European EHS Managers Meeting. Over two days, colleagues exchanged insights, reviewed current developments and discussed how we can further strengthen our EHS standards across all SEKISUI sites in Europe.

🧩 The agenda covered a wide range of topics: from updates on regulations and sustainability initiatives to best-practice sharing, safety culture and continuous improvement of our EHS processes. Most importantly, the meeting provided a valuable platform for collaboration and open dialogue between our experts.

SEKISUI establishes housing business in Canada!

We are pleased to announce that SEKISUI’s Housing Company has established SEKISUI CANADA MODULAR SOLUTIONS INC., designing and manufacturing steel frame modular units. The new company marks a significant step in expanding our modular construction business outside of Japan and contributes to addressing Canada’s housing shortage and rising home prices and rents.

With more than 50 years of experience and over 670,000 modular homes delivered in Japan, SEKISUI brings expertise, quality control, and proven industrialized construction technologies to the Canadian market.

A new steel frame modular plant in Ontario is planned to start full production around July 2026, delivering 500–600 modular units per year for:
• Low-rise buildings such as schools
• Mid-rise multi-family housing
• Care facilities

We are proud to help create faster, smarter, and more sustainable building solutions for the Canadian communities.

SEKISUI CHEMICAL has announced a change in leadership, effective March 1, 2026.

Following a decision by the Board of Directors, Ikusuke Shimizu will assume the role of President and Representative Director, while Keita Kato will transition to Chairman of the Board and Director.

This important milestone for the SEKISUI CHEMICAL Group was presented during a press conference in Japan with both leaders attending.

At SEKISUI EUROPE, we look forward to continuing our contribution to the Group’s development under this renewed leadership!
