In my Lemon Still Life Workshop, I guide you step by step.

We start with some colour theory, colour mixing and we end by really looking and building our painting.

It will show you how to build a painting from life in a simple, clear way.

No experience needed and no pressure to be perfect.

What if I ruin it? 🎨🖌️

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been afraid to make mistakes: choosing the wrong path, saying the wrong thing, messing up something important. Sometimes when this happens, I freeze. And always when this happens, I overthink. 😵‍💫

I replay everything in my head, wishing I had done it differently. Or said something in a different tone, or have not said anything in the first place! Oh…. Brain…. 🧠

But when I paint, something shifts. I don’t fear mistakes. 🌸 I actually look for them when I’m stuck. They become part of the art, shaping the piece into something unexpected, sometimes even something better! Some of my best works have mistakes in them.

Little by little, art is teaching me that it’s okay to mess up. That mistakes don’t always mean failure. A valuable lesson for life too. 🍀

So if you’ve ever been scared of getting it wrong… my art is for you. Hi! 💛

✨ Painting glass is symbolic for me to what painting essentially is: a process where you learn to be open to new perspectives, where you keep looking at what you really see in front of you and a process that always includes reflection.

✨ A loose, detailed still life painting in oils on canvas with high contrasts and fresh greens and a yellow accent in the tulip.

When life gives you lemons… get some blue and paint them! 🍋

Lemons just have that bright fresh yellow that instantly lifts any bad mood. And you know by now how much I'm interested in contrast - so the blue was just something I couldn't resist. Warm vs. cool, vibrant vs. calm. 😍

It's exactly what I wanted to capture in these two lemon still life paintings—something fresh, inviting and full of life.

Our stuff holds BIG value ❤️👇

💙 We probably all have several daily objects in our homes that mean so much more to us than just their use. I know for sure I have a lot of those (vinyls, vases, little boxes, yarn, postcards, they all tell their own story!).

💫 History holds a lot of power - maybe that’s why some of us are so drawn to old artefacts, maybe that’s why we love collecting antiques in second hand shops: they take us back in time for a little while. ⏳ Our own time machines!

Or maybe our belongings hold great value because they once belonged to someone we now need to miss. 💜

Our daily lives are filled with symbols and I really really really love painting those and putting a spotlight on these memories! It’s something we can hold onto 🌻

SOLD 💙 My Juicy Shrimps are now in Switzerland! The client told me it was very hard to choose (which I take as a big compliment) but he decided and went for this lovely platter with some juicy seafood on it.

I'm imagining them now on a kitchen wall in their forever home 😊

Musical Paints 👩‍🎨🎧🎨🎷

An abstract piece inspired by the saxophone, showing my love for live music. I am not a musician myself, so painting the feeling of being in total awe at a concert is the best I can do. 💙 Next to enjoying all the amazing music out there, of course.

I recently got to experience that feeling again at a Nick Cave concert, but I've also had it this year with Kae Tempest and James Blake. A feeling that will give you a boost for several months, really!

There's something about tiny glass vases and jars that always catches my eye - maybe it's the changes of perspective or the fun in painting them - or it is because tiny things and details can really make a difference in anything. 😍

I painted this one without any proper light in my studio - I used the camera of my phone as a flash so I could increase the reflection on the glass. Worked great 😂

Yellow ochre and turquiose are so good together 🥰

From the kitchen to my panels: coffee definitely is an art in itself ☕

For me it is that first one in the morning - I usually have one before breakfast because I don't really like to eat right away after waking up. Do you do that too or do you eat first?
