🎙️ This morning, we had the privilege of hosting a webinar on “Market Introduction of Taiwanese Healthcare Innovations in Europe”, featuring our very own Oliver Rockall, Business Development & Growth Lead at MedScaler.

🌟 The webinar delved into the challenges healthcare innovators face when entering international markets, and it provided valuable insights and winning strategies for companies. A total of 72 start-ups took part in the webinar!

🇳🇱 During the session, we explored exciting initiatives from ROM Utrecht Region, the Healthcare Innovation Center (THINC) of UMC Utrecht, and Medscaler. Together, we offered a comprehensive program to accelerate European market entry via the Netherlands. The key themes covered included:
▶︎ The Netherlands and European health systems
▶︎ Milestones to achieve CE/EMA-approval, reimbursement, and gain a launching customer
▶︎ Questions and possibilities to leverage Taiwanese subsidies in entering the program

🚨 Last week, MedScaler took part in the matchmaking of the Bridgehead Program, organized by our partner EIT Health. Twenty promising startups have been selected for this unique program. Participants will receive an internationalization grant to explore and enter a new European market.

🤝 As a trusted partner and CATalyser in the Bridgehead Program, MedScaler supports startups and scaleups with market entry services in the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium. Over the years, our team has been fortunate enough to partner with 35+ startups as part of Bridgehead.

DKV Innolab is launching the 2nd edition of the Open Innovation calls: Desafíos DKV. DKV Innolab seeks digital health solutions that promote healthy and independent ageing with the aim of tackling the main longevity challenges.

🎯 The challenge: Preventing illness & dependency in the Ageing journey

Life expectancy is extending, yet unhealthy life years increase. The European population is ageing rapidly, and at DKV we want to improve their quality of life and ensure the sustainability of health and care systems.

The aim of the Desafío DKV programme is to foster the deployment of digital solutions that promote the support and extension of healthy and independent living for older individuals.

In the framework of this programme, DKV wants to identify and adopt the best innovative solution in the market that can solve this challenge and bring value to the DKV ecosystem.

🏆 The winning solution will be rewarded with 8.000€ (cosponsored by InterSystems Iberia) and will enter the process for adoption eligibility as an additional service within one of DKV’s private insurance products. The winner will also gain access to InterSystems's ecosystem of partners.

🚀 Last Friday was International Nurses day. This year we celebrated the 58th International Nurses Day with the theme “A voice to lead: Our Nurses, Our Future”. In honor of this occasion, we want to pay tribute to the founder of modern nursing, and a real Health Innovator, Florence Nightingale.

🦸🏻 Florence was a true pioneer. Her work during the Crimean War laid the foundation for modern nursing. Her emphasis on patient-centered care, hygiene, and the use of data and statistics in healthcare was revolutionary at the time. Her contributions continue to be relevant today.

🖥 Her view on patient-centered care continues to trigger the development of new technologies, such as patient portals, mobile apps, and telemedicine platforms that make healthcare more accessible.

🦠 Her focus on hygiene and infection control remains relevant and the COVID-19 pandemic highlights the importance of infection control like never before.

🚀 Last week our colleagues Nino and Oliver attended DMEA in Berlin. With over 16.000 attendees, 700 exhibitors and 300 speakers, DMEA is one of the biggest conferences on digital health. The event was both interesting and inspiring. Nino and Oliver spoke to a lot of startups and other important stakeholders. We can't wait to attend again next year.

🌟 One of the sessions that MedScaler participated in, was the pitch event with German hospitals & healthcare stakeholders organised by ROM Utrecht Region. Oliver had the opportunity to pitch MedScaler and listen to other interesting pitches.
