Gratitude to Everyone Who Made This Possible

Aquasonic is not only the result of my vision, but also of the efforts and dedication of many people who have supported this dream with heart and soul.

The development and refinement of the sound files was only possible thanks to the invaluable help of Joeri Bonsel, with whom I also developed the Somasono Chair and the Equilibrium Experience.

The practice space was co-designed and built over many hours by Aad Drewes. Michou Reuland assisted me during the validation research for Soundfloating. Geneviève Chassé supported the production of the crowdfunding video. The beautiful photographs featured on the website and in this newsletter were taken by Graciela Rossetto, with my dear colleagues Liselore Raan Massage bij Liselore and Tom Giles as models.

My dear girlfriend Nadine van der Zalm devoted countless hours to developing the website and sending out newsletters. Gianne Tillema designed the logo, contributed to the website, created visual materials, and - together with Koen Timmermans - organised the Go-Life workshop. Koen also supported me in drafting the terms and conditions, protecting my intellectual property, and was a valuable sparring partner throughout the process. Erik van Lier created a business plan and remains involved in future developments.

Together, Michou, Joeri, Gianne, Koen, Nadine, and Erik formed the crowdfunding team, whose efforts helped finance the development of the Soundfloating bath.

Kacper Ziemianin developed the software that controls the motor moving the transducer in the water, while Vince Vijsma and Yvo van Os designed its mechanical components. Vince also helped assemble the filtration system. The moment has finally arrived! This Easter, I celebrated the official opening of my practice at the Grote Pyr in The Hague. Aquasonic Soundfloating is now officially open, and from today, you can book your session via my booking page. I look forward to welcoming you into my practice and offering you this unique experience.

Everyone who has booked one or more sessions - either during or after the crowdfunding campaign - has received a separate email with a special code to schedule their session(s). I want to sincerely thank you all for your support and patience. I truly hope the wait was worth it.

Creating everything exactly as I envisioned took a great deal of time and dedication. After a continuous process of testing, adjusting, and refining, the result is finally here: a fully operational Soundfloating bath that transmits specially composed sound vibrations directly to the body. This unique combination helps you release tension and reconnect with yourself on a deeper level.

Soundfloating sessions can be booked on their own or in combination with a massage. My recommendation: the Duo Arrangement. While one person enjoys a massage, the other relaxes in the Soundfloating bath. Afterwards, you switch places. A perfect way to share a truly unique experience together.

Yes! Soundfloating has reached an important milestone. We are proud to announce that the Omgevingsdienst Midden-Holland (ODMH) inspected our facility at the end of August and successfully approved it. Soundfloating meets all legal requirements in terms of water quality, safety, and hygiene. This means that we are officially allowed to open. We are just putting the final touches in place.

Of course, much more has happened during the spring and summer months. For example, we added magnesium sulfate to the water, and the temperature and dosing pump have been carefully adjusted. We are also in the process of adapting our newly composed music for the sessions to suit the saltwater environment. In doing so, we have to consider the different distances to the underwater speaker, as each customer has a different height and weight.

In our Soundfloating space, we’ve installed a custom-made shower wall, provided by Ariba, a family glass business just around the corner.

We have recently started working with Voice-Over Actor Camilla van Doorn. Her beautiful voice will be heard during the Soundfloating sessions. The recordings are coming soon.

Overcoming setbacks
Despite all the progress, we also encountered unexpected challenges. The pump burned out, there were leaks in the filtration system, and the speaker frame, which moves the speaker back and forth in the water, broke. Fortunately, these problems have now been resolved. A certified company has replaced the entire electrical system of our filtration installation. New O-rings have been installed, and all screw connections have been tightened using a special wrench. A new frame for the speaker is currently being manufactured.

Ready when everything is just right
We are grateful that these challenges arose now and not when we are already operational. It’s a case of two steps forward and one step back until everything is just right. Thank you all for your patience and support as we finish the final details.

On Friday, the 2nd of June I will give a presentation about Soundfloating and the effects of vibrations on water and the human body together with my friend and colleague Vince Vijsma at the Birthing an Ancient Future Multidisciplinary Psychedelic Council at the Art Centre Delft. The presentation and workshop of approximately 90 minutes will be in English.

Today we reached another milestone in the development of Aquasonic Soundfloating. Thanks to Kacper Ziemianin from Ctrl Freq, the hard- and software for controlling the speaker movement in our bath are finished, and we can finally start testing and fine tuning 😅✨🌱
