In two days The Hague will be on the ballot! To make it as easy as possible for everyone to vote in Wednesday's municipal elections, the city is opening plenty of polling stations across The Hague. You can cast your vote at any of these locations between 07:00 and 21:00, with a few location-specific exceptions. The Hague goes to the polls on 18 March and many internationals don’t realise that they can vote for municipal elections. As the city fills up with posters and candidate boards, the mayor has a clear message for international residents: your voice matters and you can help determine who shapes the future of the city you call home.

On 28 March, when all the lights go off, several museums and cultural venues in The Hague will open their doors for the youngest ones among their audience for the Museum Night Kids. Children between 3 and 12, together with their parents, are invited to wander through the exhibition halls at night, join creative workshops, watch dance performances, and learn about art and culture in a fun and playful way. Especially for the little night owls, there is even an after-party! An evening like this is organised only once a year, so make sure your little ones don’t sleep through it!

Meet City Council candidates, learn more about the political parties, ask your questions, and hear their views on key topics: and all this in English! Last Saturday the Chinese New Year celebration has officially started in the Hague, marking the beginning of the Year of the Horse. According to Chinese tradition, this animal embodies passion, optimism and strong drive for action, encouraging people to follow their goals.

You have a chance to experience the beauty of this festival this Saturday, 21 February. In Chinatown, lions and dragons will parade through the streets, accompanied by beautiful fireworks. Meanwhile, Amare - Den Haag will host a Chinese cultural market with dance, music and activities for everyone.
