Whole-body room calorimeter
Voor Maastricht Instruments hebben we de opdracht ontvangen voor de realisatie van 2 stuks Room Calorimetry Advance kamers voor de ACU (Australian Catholic University) in Melbourne.
Kamer calorimeters zijn een waardevol, krachtig hulpmiddel in metabole onderzoeksstudies. Door indirecte calorimetrie te gebruiken, nemen de onderzoeksmogelijkheden enorm toe in een breed scala van klinische en onderzoeksomgevingen. Deze systemen maken langdurige metingen mogelijk (tot 7 dagen), zonder de beperkingen van een kap of een gezichtsmasker. Ze stellen onderzoekers in staat nieuwe inzichten te verwerven in de dynamiek van menselijk energieverbruik, substraat-oxidatie en nog veel meer. Met een kamercalorimeter kan het energiemetabolisme van een persoon gedurende langere tijd onder verschillende omstandigheden worden bestudeerd. De systemen bestaan uit drie verschillende onderdelen: de ruimte zelf, klimaat-/circulatieregeling en een analyse-unit: het Omnical metabolisch systeem. b-Cat zal de kamers realiseren en zorgdragen voor de hoogte simulatie.

Het hoogtetrainings centrum in de Belgische Ardennen voor professionele en recreatieve sportteams. TÆRU de Blier, Érezée

Naast buiten te trainen in de prachtige omgeving met een unieke mix van bos en velden hebben ze 9 slaapkamers voor hoogte simulatie en is er een Sporthal beschikbaar met een 25 meter zwembad, 2 hoogte-training ruimtes, fietsenstalling en onderhoudsruimte, sportbar en indoor training faciliteit.

De bouw is in vollegang en naderd zijn einden, het geheel zal geopend zijn vanaf Januari 2023.

An altitude chamber is the ultimate feeling of freedom and comfort to train at altitude. The chambers are ideally suited in fitness clubs, professional training facilities or for altitude training with comfort in your own home or office. Environmental chambers

The b-Cat environmental (climate) chamber replicates different climates of the planet or even climates that don’t exist. This helps professional athletes prepare for competitions and that take place in a different climate than they are used to. Also militaries prepare them shelf for the extreem conditions like temperature, altitude and humidity. This all can be meticulously controlled to be able to reproduce any climate by a press on a button.

Several (olympic) sports centres and Military Operations we equipped with climate chambers, but it can also be a useful investment for universities and research centers.

b-Cat produce the most advanced and sophisticated environmental chambers in the world and all specialization for this we have in house from design, manufacturing, installation and commissioning.

At the National Training Center (CNE) in Paris, France, on an area of 11,000 m2 a stone’s throw from Roland-Garros, there are many training facilities realized, as in all clubs, but also a lot of technology, like an large Altitude chamber installed by b-Cat BV.

It is available for all high-level French players, but also for foreigners during Roland-Garros. “The performance optimization platform explores three main fields: biomechanics related to motor preferences, for technique, vision/cognition, and data processing (data) to give objectivity on analyzes of what is practiced in matches.

For The Tel Aviv University ( Sylvan Adams) and the professional Cyclist team Israel Start-up Nation we have build 8 apartments for and a lounge where the users can relax under the required Altitude levels. b-Cat supplied the technology to control the chambers. All sleeping rooms and living lounge, are controlled independently overviewed from a single control system. The total project is controlled by a single Altitude generator with a smart Frequency control system for a smooth altitude control.

CAR Jamor, Lisbon

CAR Jamor is a high-performance sports facility in the outskirts of Lisbon, Portugal, part of the Portuguese Institute for Sports and Youth, that helps top athletes, national teams, and young talents.

Among other services, like testing and evaluation, medical and physiotherapy services, nutrition counseling, strength and condition training, CAR Jamor also has an Altitude Program, that now includes two altitude chambers, one for sleeping and other for exercise.

This polyvalence is assured by technical solutions implemented by b-Cat, where multiple programs can now be applied at CAR Jamor (live high-train low, live high-train high, live low-train high) to better service our core population, so that they can compete at their best.

COP 25 – ITA3.0 Besancon

For COPS 25-ITA 3.0 we have built 8 bedrooms and 2 apartments for altitude simulations. Each room is controlled individual and overviewed and monitored from one central control system b-Cat Altitude – Pro.

The total project is controlled by a single Altitude generator with a smart Frequency control system for a smooth in- decrease of altitude air.

Inside the Athletes 3.0 (ITA 3.0) was created in 2018 by Alexandre CHOUFFE, former professional cyclist and Romain BOUZIGON, Doctor of Sports Science.

ITA 3.0, based on a unique and innovative infrastructure in France and on important multidisciplinary skills, allows and will enable it to welcome professional athletes and sports teams of high and very high level.

COPS 25, a 2200 m² building housing ITA 3.0, includes:

a performance evaluation floor
recovery on one floor – Well-being
one floor for the sports platform
a converted floor of altitude training rooms and apartments.
