How do you maintain your health when wearing a mask for many hours a day?

Contrary to some people's belief, it is not healthy to breath in your own toxins. Your lungs exchange gases, oxygen and CO2.

In health care we are obliged to wear them for many hours on a day. You are not only restricted n terms of fresh air, but your diaphragm contracts as you breath more shallow.

✴ Try to avoid wearing your mask outside if there is no risk of meeting people. Look up green areas and breath.

✴ Do short breathing exercises. Breath in through small round mouth and belly, breath out with open mouth to expand and relax lower diaphragm.

✴ Do some side stretches with raised arms and small twisting movements with your spine while standing up.

✴ Do a few yogic sun salutations with your arms.

Revive the nature inside of you!

Honouring daily, healthy practices that keep you rooted, centered and joyful are important.

Every day I try to go for a walk. Short or long.

Sometimes I change perspective. Like sitting on a bent tree over the water amids the animals.

It helps me to deal with the contraction, suffering and restrictions that today are so palpable around us.

It reminds me of my own nature. Joy and aliveness!

Dialogue versus Discussion. Starting and maintaining healthy relationships is a skill.

We often make the mistake that if two people are in love, things should flow naturally. Doing fun things, lingery and great s*x solves it all.

It is natural for tension to arise. The mistake we often make is that we do not communicate honestly and clearly our ideas, needs and boundaries.

And when we finally do, we go into discussion mode instead of a dialogue mode. How do you recognize these modes.

✴ DISCUSSION is about winning or loosing, making your point with your opinions, you are centered on yourself.

✴ DIALOGUE is about reaching a common ground or vision together, about adding perspective and insight to a conversation, it is centered around a common goal of deeper understanding.

How do you keep shining and centered when we are restricted in our freedom?

Today our government in the Netherlands makes a choice to restrict our freedom of movement from 08.30 PM to 4 AM. Very heavy measures considering most people work long days and spend already locked up a great part of their days.

It is important to keep reflecting for ourselves and take our personal responsibility for the actions we take to take care of each other.

The alternative is that our freedom is governed by a few 'experts' opinions that are not always extensively supported by data.

Be mindful of your freedom. It is your gift from nature. Be critical to think for yourself, apply your heart for every ones wellbeing - not just your own - and know that only you control your own inner peace.

Are you able to wake up in the simple appreciation that you are grateful for another day?...For the magnificence of your heartbeat, the beauty of your gaze and the greatness of a simple breath?

Are you tuning your mind to the energy of your heart and soul that is rooted in Love and the abundance of Nature or are you tuning in to the Ego-mind focused on competition, self-improvement, self affirmation and the fear of not being enough?

In Santa Teresa
and I would watch the sunset every day on the beach with a lot of people that would gather to witness such a miracle. The crossing of Light and Darkness, Life and Death.

Every sunset was different, but always perfect?

Can you begin 2021 looking at yourself with the same gaze?

Saudade: the heart that cries for HOME.

I wanted to come back to Amsterdam, NL.

However, once I was here, I had never expected to feel such a brutal change in the vibration of the place.

To be in total natural abundance, fearlesness, expansive diversity, life and death working together, nature allowing me to feel my own nature and the essence of life.

The human connectedness of Latin love. People wearing masks, but being relaxed in their social context.

Moving to a country where people physicaljy retract making sure they do not violate the 1.5 metres zone. You breathe human contraction. We are governed by the fear and rules of the mind.

Nature as a source is not there to help us regulate naturally. We have to do it on our own.

I miss the jungle. I miss the trees. The waterfalls. The abundance of Pancha Mama. But most of all I miss how easy it was to feel ME, grounded in my own nature.

When I was young I wanted to be wise. I had the innocense to believe that the greatest power in life was love.

As I grew up and I met the many faces of life, I lost my trust, I lost myself in pain and trauma, and in the games of power, desire and greed.

Today, as I look to my life, I return to that innocence and to that wisdom that the essence of life is light and love.

Light and love makes us grow and blossom. It brings the best out in us, even when life circumstances are tough and dark. It gives us the space to be without judgement.

As I swing naked as a child, I return to innocence and embark in an expanded vision of life.

Arrival in a practically empty international Amsterdam airport.

Sometimes transitions are mayor. Countries and places carry different energies.

More nature or more concrete.
An outgoing, human relationship oriented energy or a more functional, role related energy.
A go with the flow, be in the present mentality versus efficiency, effectiveness and good planning.

It is not about good or bad. Depending on what makes us feel good or comfortable, we take more or less time to transition.

So today, we are definitely in transition. Everyone has his or her way.
✴ Sleep and rest.
✴ Take a bath and relax.
✴ Organize all your suitcase stuff and your household.
✴ Execute, small, comforting or rooting habits.
✴ Communicate with loved ones.
