This week we enjoyed a day full of games and sports, and we embraced the creative energy of our annual Ugly Christmas Sweater Contest ๐ŸŽ… ๐ŸŽ„ ๐ŸŒŸ

Every year, we wrap up work a little earlier to make time for fun activities, shared laughter, and a warm dinner together. This yearโ€™s theme was ball gamesโ€”bowling, padel, and shuffleboardโ€”bringing out plenty of competitive spirit and camaraderie.

The celebrations continued with our traditional Tombola, a lottery of goodies among colleagues, followed by the sweater competition. Categories included the ugliest, the most sustainable, and the most sparkling Christmas sweaters.

And later we will gather for our end-of-year meetingโ€”a moment to reflect on achievements, draw conclusions, and wrap up the week together!

In our new webinar, Lizzy Russell-Lowe, Clinical Scientist at Manchester Royal Infirmary, will present a study in which HLA typing results obtained with the GenDx NGS-Turboยฎ kit, using Oxford Nanopore Technologies sequencing, were retrospectively compared with standard intermediate-resolution HLA typing methods. The NGS-Turboยฎ kit produced concordant typing results for all samples in less than 4 hours.
