Flow with Caitlin

Flow with Caitlin Cultivate inner strength and resilience through breath and movement. Connect to your true self.

I’m a yoga teacher with a passion for creating physical and mental strength and resilience both on and off the mat. I work with students to connect to their their body and breath, get out of their heads, and to be in the present moment. Through my classes, 1:1 lessons, and events, I guide students to cultivate a deeper connection to themselves and to take part in the journey of self-discovery. We all get in our heads from time to time…

But you can’t let that stop you in your tracks! And please please please don’t start to spiral! 🌀

Once you’re on that train 🚂 it’s can be super hard to jump off, so let’s not even go there, mmmmkay?

✅Save this post and come back to it when you need a little yoga teaching pep talk!

LESS IS MORE!

When you don’t say everything about every pose in class…

what you DO say speaks volumes louder because you’re not saying all the things.

And that will land SOOOOO much better.

But don’t take my word for it - try it next time you teach and lemme know how it goes!

Yoga teachers are people too. Go figure 🤷‍♀️

And as much as we love teaching, sharing and connecting with our students, we are also vulnerable to life’s ups and downs….

Which means sometimes you might not feel connected to your teaching.

When that happens, you’re not a ‘bad’ teacher - it just might be a sign to press pause and reset.

It’s that time of year again to get cozy, to start to shift inward, and begin to slow down.

With each year that passes, I appreciate and welcome the stillness a little bit more. 🍂

Lotus is my kryptonite.

Can’t do it….but more than that I don’t understand it. It just feels off in my own body - so I opt not to reach it.

You can totally teach a pose you can’t do, you just need to understand it enough to teach it ☺️

What is your kryptonite pose? Share in the comments below ⬇️⬇️⬇️

Like….whyyyyyyyyyy? It’s the best part!!!

Yoga Bio

Caitlin took her first yoga class in 2009 as a form of physical therapy to help recover from an injury. But she quickly realized there was much more to yoga than just the physical benefits. Her curiosity into yoga philosophy, pranayama, asana and anatomy grew over the years which eventually led to her to Koh Samui, Thailand where she completed her 200+ hour Yoga Teacher Training at Centered Yoga. Caitlin would like to thank all the amazing teachers she has practiced with around the world - from the US, to Costa Rica, to Bangladesh, to South Africa, Tanzania, and Ethiopia. She especially gives thanks to the amazing teachers she studied with in Thailand who shared so much knowledge and provided incredible support throughout the journey.
