Our Dream is Now a Reality

The Root and Rise Foundation website is LIVE!

What began as a dream nearly a decade ago—sparked by love for the mountains, the people, and the belief in something bigger than ourselves—has finally come to life.

It hasn’t been an easy path. We’ve walked through storms, faced countless challenges, and yet, here we are. Root and Rise Foundation is no longer just a vision—it’s real, it’s rooted, and it’s ready to rise.

I am deeply grateful for all the beautiful souls who stood by me through this journey. Your encouragement, belief, and love gave me strength. A special thank you to Elianne—who walked this path with unwavering dedication and grace, never giving up even when the way forward was uncertain.

I’m ready to devote my life to this mission—not for glory, but to plant seeds. I know this foundation might not create a massive global shift overnight, but it is a beginning. A seed. And I trust that future generations will care for it, nourish it, and let it grow into something beautiful—a Tree of Life rooted in community, compassion, and change.

We weren’t born just to consume, sleep, work, and repeat. We were born for something more. A higher purpose. And though discovering that purpose isn’t easy, I believe that if we keep searching, step by step, we’ll find it.

So dear friends, family, and kindred spirits—let’s live our lives with intention. Let’s serve, love, and rise for something greater. Because no matter what we achieve, life will come to an end one day. Before that moment comes, let’s make sure we’ve looked at this Earth as our home, and its people as our family.

Day 9 & 10 – We Did It! 🚴‍♀️🌍💛

We’ve officially completed 458 powerful kilometres!

This ride challenged us, inspired us, and reminded us what truly matters—helping others, spreading love, and never giving up.

Some days were tough, but the key was to keep going—with purpose, with heart.

A huge thanks to Crumb & Co. for sending cookies and cards to celebrate our achievement—we loved them! 🍪💌 Your sweet gesture made this milestone even more special.

Endless gratitude to all the amazing donors and supporters who made this journey possible. 🙏 Your kindness is helping to build brighter futures in the Himalayas with the Root and Rise Foundation.

And guess what? We’re already dreaming up next summer’s adventure—this time with more kids, more purpose, and more positive change.

We’ll soon be selecting a group of young changemakers to join us on a mission for a healthy planet and conscious living. 🌱🌏

Day 6, 7 & 8 🚴‍♀️🌧️💛

We’ve now crossed 300+ km and are entering the final lap of this incredible journey!

These past days brought strong headwinds, heavy rain, and soaked roads—but not even the weather could stop us. Every challenge only strengthened our will.

We met beautiful, kind people who lifted our spirits and reminded us why we’re riding: to support a village in the Himalayas through the Root and Rise Foundation.

So proud of Nanda—her dedication, strength, and heart are the soul of this ride. 💛

We’re already dreaming of next year’s challenge and continuing this mission of riding with love and for others.

Day 4 & 5 🚴‍♂️🌿

We’ve reached 200 km! What a journey these last two days have been—riding through deep forests, quiet country roads, and meeting so many warm, happy souls along the way.

This ride is becoming more than just kilometers—it’s about connection, love, strength, and the beautiful faith people still have in helping others. We’re feeling more bonded than ever. 💛

We covered 44.5 km today—and what a ride it was! From open skies to quiet forest paths, every pedal reminded us that life is beautiful, especially when shared with love and purpose.

This ride isn’t just a summer adventure—it’s our way of supporting positive change in a small Himalayan village through the Root and Rise Foundation.
