Sometimes it's so simple - the sun!

This is probably the simplest thing you can do to get more from your workout.

Open a window.

I know. Sounds ridiculous. But stick with me.

Your body was never designed to train under fluorescent lights in a sealed room. Glass blocks the UV and near-infrared wavelengths in sunlight! These are the parts that actually activate your mitochondria and get your brain firing dopamine properly.

When real light hits your eyes and skin, your whole system wakes up differently. Your cortisol peaks at the right time. Your nervous system is primed. You're working WITH your biology instead of against it.

I'm lucky enough to have a gym that allows me to open windows, I recommend you find one near you! More alert. Better mood. Recover faster.

Arthritis comes and goes.

With the red light therapy, cold plunge and grounding, I have control over it most of the time. Sometimes it is too much. It can be down to too much exercise or something else (like a pothole that caused excess ankle flexion 😅😬).

In the cases where it impacts my life and is painful I need more focused red light therapy.

The mega torch with it's 810nm and extremely high irradiance does the job every single time. 3-5 minutes around the ankle seems to be enough for me to alleviate a lot of the pain and discomfort and allow me to continue my day.

Life works in mysterious ways.

I always try to keep on learning, keep on growing and that means some things come around again but in a different way.

Without physics, the chemistry doesn't make the same sense. I hated physics at uni, now I understand it is fundamental to my understanding of function in the human body.

I'm such a geek, I love learning and looking forward to expanding my opinion and knowledge further.
