Studio Frid är ett litet mysigt studio som erbjuder EQ-terapi, massage, healing, och yoga. Att jobba med kropp och sinne, inre och yttre, är en väg för Sandra som hon länge har haft som mål. Hon önskar att dela sina erfarenheter - sin väg i livet, där hon välkomnar alla med på en omsorgsfull resa in till sitt eget tempel. Här möts du av en god atmosfär och en varm inställning. Jag tar emot kunder lite varierade dagar och tider, så det är enklast att kontakta mig via pm eller telefon för att boka in er :)

Old dogs need massage too! 😄

🐕 Cinco is 13 years old and he has had problems for a long time, he was in need of pain killer shots every 4-6 weeks just to get by. There came a time when even the painkillers were not enough, he was dragging his right rear leg, not having power in his steps and he even fell on the stairs.

Cinco's pet parents, a couple who were regular clients of mine at Studio Frid asked me if I could treat him? I've said that I like a challenge, but I cannot promise anything. A body is a body, so I've applied my experience with the human body to the dog's. Honestly I did not know what to expect, I just did my best with the old chap.

There's something beautiful about working with animals, it is an honest and truthful endeavor. They can't talk and they didn't learn to suppress their nature. So all communication goes through touch and presence. If they feel comfortable, they will let you know, if something hurts them they will let you know.

I've found it amazing that even though I work on a painful spot on Cinco, I know it hurts him, yet at the same time he looks at me and licks my hand asking me to continue. He 'feels' that I'm doing the right thing, I'm there to help him and he is letting me do the work.

He is literally asking for it with his eyes.

I gave the first treatment to Cinco on the 6th of April and he went without any painkiller shot for over 3 months! I was astounded to hear about this when I've got a call back from Cinco's guardians in the middle of July! Some problems started to show up again, but I was on holiday and could not be there for Cinco, until I arrived back to Norway.

I've met him on the 27th of July and he was still going without the painkiller shot. 😮 Remember, he used to have a new shot in every 4-6 weeks, in the last 9 months!

I gave him another treatment and he immediately started to get the power back in his right leg, his left paw rotated and faced forwards and he was walking well again. Today, the day after, he is reportedly doing good and enjoying a summer boat trip with his human companions.

Even if you can't teach an old dog new tricks, they can be still helped. A lot!

As you may know already, Studio Frid has moved to a new location. No worries, we're still close by. The new premises are at Ljan Stasjon, and with an ocean view!

It feels very calm in the room. The thick walls and double windows provide a good sound isolation, and the trains go unnoticed.

We're 5 years strong in Nordstrand! We started on the bodywork journey together with Sandra in 2013. She opened Studio Frid at Nordstrand in 2017 and invited me to work there. The rest is history, maybe I'll share our journey with you in another post. Long story short, before the pandemic hit, we were 4 people working at Studio Frid, now it is Sandra and myself.

I can't thank you enough for your support and understanding throughout the years! It's good to know that what we do matters to you, it really helps with our morale to march through pandemics, increasing costs, location changes, and still be here, doing what we do best, helping where we can help the most.

So we became an early bird at the place, before the official opening. Therefore we can expect some work being done by the crew in the other rooms during August. Nevertheless, We've managed to make the room ready by the 2nd of August and I must say, I quite like it!

We've simplified a few things, so it feels more 'Zen' -like than the previous room. However, form follows function, so the 'One' thing left to do now, is to Test It Out. The place needs you and us, let's do it together, and breathe life into the new Studio Frid!

Studio Frid is a massage studio with a local clientele of the Nordstrand area. We are serving our community since 2017 and we’re proud to have an excellent reputation and lots of happy customers.

Studio Frid is 'not a high pace' environment, like most spas and commercial massage studios. We specialise in long treatments, and promote calmness. We value our therapists' well being as much as our clients’ well being. After all, one has to be calm to release tension.

We are looking for you, who are:

* Passionate about massage
* Professional and reliable
* Have a Caring and Friendly attitude
* Fluent in Norwegian and / or English
* Have your own sole proprietorship (enkeltpersonforetak) and be able to send invoices. (if you don't have it yet, this is quite an easy process and takes about a week or two to establish.)

We are looking for both new graduates and experienced therapists. All applicants must have completed an education that can be approved by relevant unions.

Our main services are deep tissue treatment and relaxing massage, being able to perform these two is a must. You can use your own style as long as it applies to the function of the aforementioned treatments. Beyond these two treatment types there can be a possibility to use your individual specialty as long as it fits our profile. We have soft mattress on the floor, so there is a possibility for Shiatsu or Thai Massage type of treatments as well.

We offer:

* A relaxed, stress free environment within an emerging community place
* Flexible working hours with the possibility of a full-time position
* Competitive hourly wage

We will provide you with coaching in relevant aspects of our business and there will be possibilities for learning and exchanging skills.

Moreover, our aim is to gather a small group of bodyworkers who get along well with each other and enjoy what we do!

Hi Nordstrand, we're Back! 💪

I'm glad that we have found our new home at Folkeaksjonen Nordstrand Kulturarena, and extremely proud that we could make this move into an upgrade in coziness and style. I want to say my gratitude to the synchronicity of events and the support of Sandra and many friends who made this happen! 🙏 Thank you all! It was and it is an amazing journey.

Hei kjære kunder,
Studio Frid har flyttet til ny adresse: Ekebergveien 243!! 🛎 Det er det gamle bydelshuset på Nordstrand, som nå skal bli kulturhus. Vi er i gang med oppussing og gleder oss stort til å åpne opp døren for dere.
