LABRIDA BIOCLEAN® and PERIODONTITIS
Labrida BioClean® can be used for maintenance of teeth suffering from periodontitis, documented with good clinical effect.
Removal of plaque-forming bacteria from the infected tooth surface is the first step in biofilm management. Regular care of teeth with periodontits must be performed to obtain infection control.
Labrida BioClean® should be used for supportive care 2-4 times a year, depending on clinical indication (hard deposits e.g. calculus must be removed with an ultrasonic scaler or curette). Infection control may reduce the need for surgery, and regular supportive care using Labrida BioClean® can prevent further progression of disease.
Labrida has performed two RCTs with Labrida BioClean® used on patients with persistent periodontal pockets. Both studies are published in highly ranked journals:
