On the we want to pay tribute to , policy makers, experts, technology providers and investors who push towards and low-impact food production.

Technology plays a small part, insights and policies much more so. To avoid more species going the way of the , which humans made extinct in less than two centuries, we need to simultaneously consider , soil health, and efficient and profitable food production. No critical resource is too abundant for us to overuse, and soil is under pressure from unsustainable farming practices across the world.

Digitising Agriculture

Sensonomic is digitising agriculture. We utilise new data sources such as satellites and drones, and combine it with auxiliary data to create a digital representation of agricultural landscapes. Through our unique application of computational simulations we can provide our clients with insights into how to optimise yield sustainably, improve operations, allocate finances and make the supply chain more resilient.

Our goal is to provide a suite of software services for land dependent industries. We are developing services for all agriculture supply chain and value chain actors as well as for the finance and insurance industry. In addition, we work closely with international NGOs and governments to assist with climate resilience for smallholders and plantation agriculture.

Sensonomic was founded by Anders Gundersen, an economist and Oxford MBA, and Dr Karl Trygve Kalleberg, an experienced entrepreneur and medical doctor with a PhD in computer science. The company has established itself in Norway and the UK, and we are a proud member of the internationally acclaimed Level39 Technology Accelerator in London's Canary Wharf. The company works closely with leading academic institutions, most notably the University of Oxford and the Bjerknes Centre for Climate Research.
