Our Head of Research, Dr Adam Formica, shares his views on Peruvian grape production with Fresh Fruit Portal.

Peruvian grapes are up so much this season, that the export numbers are up despite violent protests shaking the country since December 2022.

On the we want to pay tribute to , policy makers, experts, technology providers and investors who push towards and low-impact food production.

Technology plays a small part, insights and policies much more so. To avoid more species going the way of the , which humans made extinct in less than two centuries, we need to simultaneously consider , soil health, and efficient and profitable food production. No critical resource is too abundant for us to overuse, and soil is under pressure from unsustainable farming practices across the world.
