THE POWER OF ACCEPTANCE
Let's try to understand together the importance of acceptance. To do so, we must make an effort to reach our desired goal—the idea and feeling of acceptance, as well as the relationship of acceptance itself with the person and their consciousness.
If we look deeper into a person’s being, we will discover a unique, subjective, and very diverse world. This world, this subjective reality, is full of personal descriptions and tastes, as well as the most varied vibrations. However, when we approach our own Being, the first and most frequent thing we encounter is the range of negative contents that somehow live in us, which we carry and maintain ourselves.
These are different contents such as repressed emotions, beliefs, conflicts, divided opinions, doubts, fears, situations, characters, etc. This is what shapes our reality, without a doubt, regardless of the religion and nationality we belong to, or any societal or individual beliefs. This reality that we are currently living has been imposed on all who have any contact with human systems and civilization. It can also be attributed to the Spirit of the Time and the influence of collective consciousness on the individual consciousness of each person.
Thus, if we look within ourselves, which requires a certain skill of self-observation, we can see all the aforementioned contents that seem to be waiting for the moment when they will take center stage in our consciousness and begin their play. They are there, very real, although they appear elusive, they are highly energized and exert influence on the spiritual and even physical level. If we manage to delve deeper into the observation of these contents, we will see that their emergence into the world happens according to established patterns and programs, that the so-called unconscious controls them, and that this is actually a subtle psychological and spiritual machine that has deep emotional, intellectual, and bioenergetic support, as well as the forms of similar identities that reflect these states and contents.
If that is the case, then we are dealing with a machine that is the product of a series of random, reactive programs created in various situations and experiences. We must recognize this and accept it as part of the game we are entangled in and as something that truly deserves our attention. This is the way to gradually move out of old identities and delve into new, desired, and powerful identities and roles. This topic can certainly be further deepened, but since we have a very specific idea in mind, namely acceptance, let's examine the connection of acceptance with the situation we previously described.
THE SOURCE OF ENERGY FOR OUR INNER MACHINE
The question arises: if the machine works within me and reactively, unconsciously manages my life, where does it get its energy for this work? Certainly, it takes it from me, but how do I feed it?
To answer this, we must understand the energetic sphere of the happening itself and try to discern what happens to the energy in that moment. To begin with, I would like to point out the stance of G. Gurdjieff, but also of Živorad Slavinski, "that man is actually full of resistance," meaning rejection. It is also true that we automatically create resistance throughout life, during a simple day, due to the unconscious perception of life. Much of the content we experience throughout the day is repressed because we create resistance to those ideas and images within ourselves, and we say: "This is not good," "This is not just," "This is not fair," "This cannot be like this," and so on...
RESISTANCE AS A PRODUCT OF REJECTION
In structural terms, creating resistance is a product of rejection itself. To reject something means to correct it in the meaningful and energetic sphere. This leads to a blockage of flow and creates an energetic imbalance. The energy that is reactively awakened in the form of resistance is, in fact, stolen energy. Resistance has thus arisen and begun its life in our field in an energetic sense, which quickly transfers to the mental and emotional reality, and then to the body.
THE KEY TO THE WHOLE STORY
Now we come to the key of the whole story. If we view our machine of emotional, intellectual, and bodily programs and habits as a powerful energetic machine of resistance that we ourselves fill and maintain, then we certainly need to look at how it functions. If we know that unconscious programs start when there is energy available for them, and that this is actually the moment of creating resistance and rejection, then we can understand that by rejecting a situation, we pull certain energy and create an opposing state. In this way, the whole story takes on an interesting meaning, and it can be concluded that all of human suffering, the entire machine that works within us, and the dream we live in are the product of imbalance and unconscious reactions, specifically when we did not accept life as it is, but instead created resistance, blockages, conclusions, and attitudes about it, and believed in them rather than in life itself.
THE CONSEQUENCES OF RESISTANCE
The consequence of such behavior and the frequent creation and accumulation of resistance is that a person falls into various negative states since over time all the resistances and conflicts take more and more energy and become more prominent and materialized in practical life.
THE NEED FOR HONEST ACCEPTANCE
What certainly follows from the previous text is that we can and must start working on our sincere acceptance of things as they are, regardless of whether they are good or bad, just or unjust, fair or unfair. From a lower point of view, we cannot understand the nature of things, so we clumsily give them all sorts of names and labels, but in fact, what is needed is to view things from a higher perspective and see the whole picture. This certainly gives a deeper meaning, and a person becomes able to reconcile polarities, conflicts, negative attitudes, judgments, etc.
If we continue the story from this point of view, we see that rejection is the greatest problem, and that it, in a cause-and-effect relationship, creates and feeds the machine with which we actually fight all our battles.
THE ROLE OF ACCEPTANCE IN OUR GROWTH
Acceptance now stands as one of the important goals that we must and should reach in order to stop polarizing our own consciousness and to return the energy of programs and habits to ourselves. To accept with heart and soul proves not only to be a powerful medicine, but in a deeper sense, it is actually all that we need to do. Thus, if we manage to accept every aspect of life as it is, all situations, all people, all ideas, and all events, we will actually awaken. Work in this sense can and should be seen as a constant encouragement toward acceptance, but also a reminder that we must accept always and continually. To accept even the unacceptable, and the one who cannot accept, and the very thought "I do not accept," accepting absolutely all contents within our consciousness.
CONCLUSION: THE POWER OF ACCEPTANCE
I believe it is now somewhat clearer to what extent the power and importance of acceptance reach, and that in it lies the full potential to exit from the unconscious, to wake from the dream and suffering, and to achieve a full, true life—a life of the heart and a life of the soul.
Therefore, dear people, dive into your hearts more often and work on accepting negative states, states of criticism, judgment, fears, and dissatisfaction, because all these states, indeed, are, and this can be verified, the result of unconscious resistance and the accumulation and squandering of energy.
Accept that everything is fine in the Universe, seek balance! Accept it and step into life!
