Namal Knowledge City: An Inspiration—- A Dream

vision

The inspiration that led to the founding of Namal College in 2008 was sparked by the admiration that Imran Khan has with Pakistani youth. To him the future stakeholders of Pakistan are a kaleidoscope of talent & hard work and it is with them that hope for a brighter future resides.It is a dream that has been actualized by its visionary members who are associated with world class institutions like LUMS, SKMT and the University of Bradford UK. This ambitious project was undertaken to provide educational facilities of international standards to talented youth of rural areas to trigger social and economic change through the academic evolution of backward regions of Pakistan. Vision and Mission Statement:

• Finding innovative solutions to rural challenges by highly trained academics

NKC is designed to integrate education with employability to enable talented youth become economically useful and socially robust citizens of Pakistan. It aims at providing a distinct learning experience for professional and intellectual development in an enabling academic environment.The objective is to equip students with necessary academic knowledge and requisite professional skills by establishing a collaborative framework of public as well as private partnerships. Namal Education Foundation and Namal College are working on developing strategic links with both academic institutions and industry to foster a culture of collaboration between industry and the academia. The idea is to celebrate the interaction of creative, technical and entrepreneurial talent on a common platform to nurture a culture of research and innovativeness.Through the collaboration of university researchers and companies it is hoped that important milestones may be achieved specific to the industrial requirements.

Achievement Highlight | Namal University
A proud moment for Namal University as our Computer Science students secured 2nd Position in the Computer Science Tech Startup Pitch Category at the AFS Venture Spark Competition, hosted by MNS University of Agriculture Multan, Multan.

The event brought together innovative startup pitches and technology-driven venture concepts from across the country. Out of 700+ submitted projects, only 100 ideas were shortlisted for the main event. Our students presented a compelling tech-enabled startup solution, demonstrating strong capabilities in innovation design, digital transformation, AI-driven problem solving, and entrepreneurial mindset.

He shared practical strategies for crafting strong CVs, aligning skills with industry demands, and excelling in interviews—empowering students to confidently transition into corporate life.

The Quality Enhancement Cell of Namal University Mianwali successfully conducted the Program Review for Effectiveness and Enhancement (PREE) of the BS Mathematics program, in line with the QAA-HEC guidelines of PSG framework 2023.

The review was carried out by seasoned external reviewers, Dr. Saifullah (GC University, Lahore) and Dr. Tahir Mahmood (International Islamic University, Islamabad), based on the Self-Assessment Report (SAR) and interactive sessions with faculty and students. Namal University acknowledges the assessment team for their valuable insights and constructive feedback. The exercise reaffirmed Namal University’s commitment to quality assurance, academic excellence, and continuous improvement.

Mr. Abdul Razak Dawood (Convener – Management Committee), Mr. Sikandar Mustafa Khan, and Dr. Arif Nazir Butt, Members of the Management Committee, visited Namal University. They interacted with senior management and faculty, reviewed the university’s progress, and toured the under-construction sports facilities along with other ongoing projects.

As part of the Alumni Talk Series, Ms. Mashoon Abbas, Class of 2015, engaged with the students in an insightful session on career choices, adaptability, and staying open to new possibilities. A Software Engineering graduate turned entrepreneur, she shared her journey of stepping out of her comfort zone and embracing change, reminding students that growth often begins where certainty ends. Her key message resonated strongly: change is constant, and it is never too late to start again.
