january 🔵

there's a specific type of blue hue at dawn and dusk this time of year. i did my best to capture it where i could

i started teaching a weekly yoga class again 💙

i visited the art museum in Pittsburgh for the presepio (pic 3), black photojournalism, and christmas trees. saw a portal.

i produced a lot of fridge haikus

january is for regeneration so i also have been sleeping a lot

something to think about with all the new year's resolutions.

i love doing some gym rat stuff - being in the gym, the movement, the challenge, the focus.

i do not enjoy figuring out what i'm going to eat, preparing it, making sure i have enough, bringing enough with me, then the actual act of eating that much is...too much.

no new year, new me.
i'm going to stay on my bu****it.

sometimes, when you gain weight, you can just look at it as communication that your body's needs have changed.

instead of trying to get rid of it as the focus, maybe just get a little bit compassionate with yourself and try to hear what your body is saying before beating it into submission.

❤️‍🔥maybe you started lifting heavier weights and you need bigger pants for bigger muscles

❤️‍🔥maybe you need more recovery

❤️‍🔥maybe you need the weight as you age, for protection

❤️‍🔥maybe you do need to simply give your body better nutrition and movement to lose the weight

❤️‍🔥maybe you need something emotional

the possibilities are endless and only your body knows.
