ALUMINIUM UTENSILS AND DISEASE - The Dangers Inherent In the Widespread Use of the Metal
In the present article, aluminium poisoning is discussed. This poisoning is caused due to the intake of the food processed in aluminium utensils. Nowadays most of the people in the world use the kitchenware made up of aluminium. You can also see these utensils in your kitchen in a large number in the form of frying pans, pressure cooker teapots, spoons and forks. In market of you will see above 60 percent of the utensils sold are made up of aluminium.
Today the most common utensils you can see in kitchens are made of aluminium and non-sticks with Teflon coating on it. Now what we don't know about these cookwares is that they have harmful effects on our health. Aluminium is heavy metal and every time you cook something in an Aluminium cookware, a very small amount say about 100 micro-grams gets deposit in your food due to friction between your spatula and utensil. This unwanted Aluminium that you are eating daily gets deposited in your body and never comes out of it which leads to a chronic diseases such as Asthma, Cancer and many more. Same is the story with Teflon- it causes Cancer, Thyroid diseases, Complexities during pregnancy and Birth defects.
Now question arises that if they have such adverse effects on health why are they being sold to us,
well the answer is very simple "because there is demand" and why there is demand " because it is a trend after so many years". When India was ruled by The Britishers then the food which was given to the prisoners was cooked and served in Aluminium cookware so that the inmates may die soon with chronic diseases. And after that they introduced Aluminium cookware in India. Which became a trend with time and now no one is bothered about it. The Britishers are gone but majority of the jails still cook and serve there food in Aluminium utensils, there are many aluminium utensils at our home such as sauce pans, pressure cookers, sauce pot etc. Even the food which is cooked on big celebration feast like marriage is made with aluminium utensils.
Why the food and drink processed in aluminium is harmful?

The main reason is that when we make food in aluminium pots it reacts on the food. It is highly reactive and is mixed up with the food and enters our body with the food we take. Aluminium is heavy metal and the excretory system is unable to extract this metal. If we eat food made in aluminium utensils for many years it is accumulated in our muscles, kidneys, lever and bones. This deposition cause many harmful diseases which the people are not aware. It mainly acts upon brain and stops the growth of human brain cells. In this way the aluminium utensils are harmful to our body.
Symptoms of aluminium poisoning:

The main symptom of aluminium is abdominal pain. When you feel abdominal pain it may be due to aluminium poisoning. The second symptom is memory loss and anxity.
Diseases caused due to aluminium poisoning:
Memory loss and depression
Depression and anxiety
Ulcer in mouth
Asthma
Appendix
Kidney failure
Alzheimer
Eye problem
Diarrhea.
The above said diseases are caused due to the food we consumed processed or cooked in aluminium utensils. These utensils make the food toxic which as a result affect our body.
Now, what is the solution and what are the best materials for cookware? well according to Vedas and books on ayurved the appropriate material for making utensils is brass, copper and clay , cooper is best for making food but it is not good for storing food, Brass and clay is as good as copper for making food and can also be used for storing food.
The food cooked in clay pots are not only delicious but also nutrients rich. The micro-nutrients which are usually lost during cooking are all present in the food cooked in clay utensils because all the micro-nutrients are present in clay. Well the plants get there nutrients from soil so does the food cooked in an earthen utensil. A scientific study done by Amar Shaheed bhai Rajiv dixit ji of Azadi Bachoo Andolan showed that a daal cooked in an earthen pot has 90% more micro-nutrients than one cooked in pressure cooker (only 3% remains). Never the less earthen cookware are non-sticks naturally.
So, dear friends stop using aluminuium utensils and save your life. Spread this awareness everywhere and make life of people.
