* शुद्धता: पानी र अक्सिजनमा भिन्नता लागे पनि प्रयोग गर्दा दुबै शुद्ध हुनु आवश्यक छ। मेसिनले प्रदान गर्ने अक्सिजन कम्तीमा ९५% शुद्ध हुनुपर्छ। अक्सिजनको कमी भएमा बिरामीलाई समस्या हुनसक्छ, विशेष गरी COPD बिरामीहरूमा कार्बनडाइअक्साइडको मात्रा बढ्न सक्छ।
* ब्याकअप: घरमा अक्सिजन मेसिन प्रयोग गर्दा बिजुली गएमा आकस्मिक प्रयोगको लागि सधैं एउटा सानो रिफिल गरिएको सिलिन्डर राख्नुपर्छ।
