Sowa-Rigpa is one of the oldest forms of healing in the world and has been in practice for more than 2500 years in the Tibet and Himalayan regions. “Sowa” means to heal the imbalance of the body and “Rigpa” means the knowledge or science of a subject. The goals of Sowa-Rigpa are to give a long and happy life without diseases and ultimately freeing all beings from the roots of sufferings, which are the three poisons of the mind- Desire- attachment, Anger and Close- mindedness. So-rig is a unique healing system as it not only treats symptoms but also treats the main causes or roots of disorders. Its focus is on finding a balanced way of lifestyle and diet according to each individual body constitution.
Pure Vision Sorig Healing Center is designed to give variety of wellness treatments to guests of all ages. For prevention & treatment of disorders So-Rig uses Diet, Lifestyle, Herbal Medicine, External Therapies & Spiritual Practice. And for diagnostic methods, So-Rig uses Visual Observation, Pulse Reading & Questioning.
Pure Vision Sorig Healing Center is located in a village near Pharping called Dollu. It is one hour drive outside of Kathmandu and few minutes drive from Pharping town. The center has a traditional Sorig clinic, therapeutic massages, Traditional herbal bath, hot dry sauna, a library, shrine room and medicine Buddha garden.
We have six large clean and comfortable rooms with twin beds, attach bathrooms and kitchens. All the rooms are well furnished with all kitchen sets and ready for self cooking. There is also a common kitchen where one can order vegetarian meals and drinks. The center is also suitable for a long-term retreating people as it is located in a peaceful and clean environment surrounded by beautiful mountains and monasteries.
