NHC – Universal College of Medical Sciences(UCMS) conducted a meaningful Road Safety School Health Program under Project Suraksh*t Marga at Janajati Madhyamik School on 30th November.
Students from Class 6 to Class 10 actively participated with enthusiasm and curiosity.

The session highlighted the importance of safe behaviour on roads and how small actions can prevent serious accidents.
Students learned the correct way to cross roads, why helmets and seatbelts must never be ignored, and how traffic lights guide safe movement.
They also explored the meaning of common road signs and the dangers of using phones while walking or riding.

Discussions were held on safe cycling habits, staying alert in busy areas, and understanding blind spots around vehicles.
The team also demonstrated basic steps of emergency response to help students act confidently during accidents.

The program aimed to build responsible young citizens who value awareness, discipline, and safety.
Together, we move one step closer to creating safer roads and a safer future for all.

The gathering brought together our past and present ambassadors along with the central team, creating a meaningful space for connection, learning, and celebration.

Our 2024/25 ambassadors shared their experiences, insights, and lessons from the field—guiding and inspiring the newly selected team.

Third Incubation Session | Proposal Writing

Nepal Health Corps successfully conducted the third incubation session on Proposal Writing on 15th November 2025 with an impactful turnout of around 35 ambassadors.

We were honored to have Ms. Kusumsheela Bhatta as the resource person—an accomplished public health professional and early-career researcher currently serving as a Public Health Officer under the Government of Nepal. With an MPH from PAHS and three prestigious Presidential Gold Medals, she brought exceptional expertise and inspiration to the session.

Ms. Bhatta delivered a clear, practical, and engaging session, guiding ambassadors through essential components of proposal writing—cover letters, summaries, resource mapping, contingency planning, and the ethical use of AI. Her real-world examples and step-by-step explanations made the learning highly valuable and easy to grasp.

A huge thank you to Ms. Kusumsheela Bhatta for her time and insightful delivery, and to all ambassadors for their active participation.
Together, we continue strengthening skills for impactful community projects.

We were privileged to host Dr. Pradish Poudel, the visionary Founder and Director of Nepal Health Corps, as the distinguished speaker for our second incubation session.

A Harvard Medical School graduate in Global Health Delivery, and Resident Physician at St. Joseph’s Hospital, New York, Dr. Poudel stands as an inspiring example of how global education and experience can be channeled into empowering local communities.

During the session, Dr. Poudel shared his remarkable insights on youth leadership, innovation in public health, and the importance of community-driven solutions in achieving health equity. He spoke passionately about bridging global perspectives with local realities — encouraging our ambassadors to think beyond boundaries, challenge conventional models, and design sustainable interventions that create measurable impact and goals that align their initiatives with the broader mission of Health for All.

First Incubation Session: “ABC of a Project”
Nepal Health Corps successfully conducted the first incubation session for Ambassadors 2025/26 on November 1, 2025, led by Dr. Pratiksha Timilsina as the resource person who served as ambassador lead in the past.

The session explored the fundamentals of community project development through the 5 WH approach (What, Where, How, When & Why) — blending theory with real-life examples from impactful projects on cervical health, oral health, and mental health.

Ambassadors actively participated, sharing ideas and raising insightful questions on project planning, proposal writing, sponsor outreach, and implementation strategies.

A truly inspiring start to a year of meaningful community impact!
