All registered pharmacists and assistant pharmacists are mandatorily required to update their professional details if they change their place of work or address.

Key Details:

Timeline: Changes must be reported in writing to the Registrar within one month of the change.

Update Process: Details (name registration renewal/update, workplace, etc.) can be updated via the council's website link provided in the notice.

Consequence of Non-Compliance: Failure to update details will result in the council being unable to issue a Certificate of Good Standing or any recommendation letter.

सरस्वती मया दृष्टा वीणापुस्तकधारिणी ।
हंसवाहनसंयुक्ता विद्यादानं करोतु मे ।। १।।
प्रथमं भारती नाम द्वितीयञ्च सरस्वती ।
तृतीयं शारदा देवी चतुर्थ हंसवाहिनी ।। २ ।।
पञ्चमं तु जगन्माता षष्ठं वागीश्वरी तथा ।
सप्तमं चैव कौमारी अष्टमं वरदायिनी ।। ३।।
नवमं बुद्धिदात्री च दशमं ब्रह्मचारिणी ।
एकादशं चन्द्रघण्टा द्वादशं भुवनेश्वरी ।। ४।।
द्वादशै तानि नामानि त्रिसन्ध्यं य पठेन्नरः ।

Drug Information Center, Nepal (DIC, Nepal), together with the entire phect-Nepal Central office family, joyfully celebrated Saraswati Puja and Basanta Panchami—a day dedicated to the Goddess of knowledge, learning, and wisdom.

1. Action Required: Update your working institute details on the Nepal Pharmacy Council website.

The program focused on strengthening collaboration for safe, rational and evidence-based use of medicines through interaction among healthcare professionals, community representatives and partners. चिसोको समयमा आगो, विजुलीको हिटर, जस्ता सामाग्रीको प्रयोगले दुर्घटना एवम् जनधनको क्षति हुने भएकोले सावधानी अपनाऔं ।

- चिसोबाट बच्न, न्यानो रहन न्यानो लुगा लगाउने, आगो ताप्नै परे आगोको नजिक बसेर नताप्ने ।
- आगो, हिटर र विजुलीको काम सकिने वित्तिकै तुरुन्तै निभाउने ।
- आगो, तातो पानी र तातो पदार्थ साथै हिटर र विजुलीको सामाग्रीबाट बच्चाहरुलाई टाढै राख्ने ।
- खाना पकाउँदा बच्चा नबोक्ने, कपाल र कपडा सपक्क बाँध्ने, छिट्टै आगो टिप्ने पोलिष्टर तथा टेरिकटनको कपडा नलगाउने ।
- ग्यास चुहावट भएको शंका लागे झ्याल ढोका खोलेर रेगुलेटर बन्द गर्ने । ग्यास खुला भएको वा चुहावट भएको वेला सलाई, बिजुली बत्ती, टर्च, फोन आदि जस्ता प्रज्वलनशील वा व्याट्री जन्य वा विद्युतीय सामानहरुको प्रयोग गर्दा ठूलो विष्फोट हुन सक्ने हुँदा प्रयोग नगर्ने ।
- ग्याँस चूलो, पाइप र सिलिण्डरको नियमित चेकजाँच गर्ने ।
- ग्यास चूलोको काम सकिए पछि रेगुलेटर बन्द गर्ने ।
- आगो, गिजर, हिटर राम्ररी निभाएर मात्र सुत्ने ।
- हावा आवत जावत नहुने कोठामा आगो वाल्दा, गिजर, हिटर चलाउँदा निसास्सिएर ज्यान जानसक्ने हुँदा हावा आवतजावत हुने व्यवस्था गरेर मात्र यस्तो कार्य गर्ने ।

आगोले पोलिहालेमा के गर्ने :
- आगोले पोलिहालेमा आत्तिएर नदौडिने र भुँइमा पल्टेर लडीबुडी गर्ने साथै वाक्लो कबंल वा सिरकले छोपेर आगो निभाउने ।
- आगो निभे पछि लुगा, घडी र गहनाहरु फुकाल्ने त्यसपछि त्यो घाउलाई धाराको पानीले कम्तीमा आधा घण्टा लगातार भिजाउने ।
- आगोले पोलेको घाउलाई सफा कपडाले छोपेर तुरुन्तै नजिकको स्वास्थ्यमा संस्थामा लैजाने ।

Urgent Drug Recall Notice: The Department of Drug Administration (DDA), Nepal has issued an urgent recall for Levoflox-500 Tablet (Levofloxacin Tablet IP), Batch No. BB24001, from Magnus Pharma Pvt. Ltd.

The product failed the dissolution test as per IP 2022 standards. Do not recommend, sell, distribute, or use this specific batch.

Orientation and workshop program for students of RKBPI Public Health Concern Trust-NEPAL

On 2082/09/17, Drug Information Center NEPAL (DIC, Nepal) successfully conducted a one-day orientation and workshop for third-year Diploma in Pharmacy students from Ratna Kumar Bantawa Polytechnic Institute, Sakhejung, Ilam, at phect central Office, Bagbazar.

The session primarily focused on an overview of the Drug Information Center, highlighting its need, objectives, and core activities in supporting the rational use of medicines. In addition, demonstrations of some medical devices were conducted to strengthen students’ practical understanding. Active student participation made the session engaging and meaningful.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the PHECT–ICD Department for their support and for providing certification, which enriched the learning experience.
