Three-year-old Sakshi from Duhabi Municipality was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy (CP) during a disability assessment camp organized by the municipality. At the time, she could sit on her own but standing and walking felt like a distant dream.

With continuous physiotherapy, regular exercises, and support from a standing frame, Sakshi began taking small but powerful steps forward. Today, she can stand with minimal support and even walk a little.

Her determination, paired with her family’s unwavering support, is opening new doors. The next milestone? Admission to a nearby school, where Sakshi’s journey of learning and growing will continue.

Because with the right support, every small step can lead to a big future.

The provincial-level 2-day Artificial Intelligence Training has been successfully completed as part of the skill development initiative. We would like to thank Nepal Speakers Bureau for making the sessions practical and engaging, and to the participants whose curiosity, interaction, and commitment made the learning experience impactful.

The training contributes to strengthening digital competencies and staying aligned with the evolving role of Artificial Intelligence in today’s workplaces.

In the presence of the Chief Guest, Hon. Ram Prasad Mahato, Minister for Social Development, Koshi Province and joined by Municipality Mayors and Deputy Mayors, a meaningful milestone was created for children who needed it most. 37 children received wheelchairs, each one carefully provided to support safer, easier, and more confident mobility. For these children, a wheelchair represents more than support, it represents the ability to move independently, to participate, and to experience daily life with dignity. The smiles, quiet excitement, and sense of relief from families spoke louder than words.

The Wheelchair Assessment, Measurement, Fitment, and Distribution Program was successfully organized under Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation Program (DPRP) with the support of Wheelchairs for Kids Australia.

At ward No. 8, Inaruwa, women from the community gathered to learn, ask questions, and take time for their health through a Cervical Cancer Screening camp. With a focus on early detection, awareness, and prevention, the camp created a supportive space where conversations around cervical health were encouraged. More than a medical service, it was a reminder that timely screening and informed choices can save lives.

Sometimes, meaningful change begins with a simple step.
