We were privileged to host Dr. Kaung Si Thu, Dr. Tomohiko Ukai, and Dr. Akiko Takaki from the Department of Epidemiology and Clinical Research & 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐉𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐞-𝐄𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐓𝐁 𝐒𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 (𝐂𝐉𝐏𝐐𝐀), during their recent follow-up visit. Their engagement and insights made for a highly productive and enriching interaction.

𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 successfully hosted a collaborative program in partnership with 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐍𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐥(𝐀𝐖𝐎𝐍) and the 𝐃𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐒𝐲𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐲,𝐍𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐥, which featured a formal MOU signing between Grande International Hospital and the Down Syndrome Society, Nepal.

In his opening remarks, Dr. Binod Bijukachhe, the Medical Director, warmly welcomed Mrs. Sonia Urbom, the AWON Education and Training Chairperson, as well as Mrs. Baba Sarkar, President of AWON. Mrs. Urbom is currently visiting Nepal with her husband, the Chargé d'Affaires at the U.S. Embassy.

The highlight of the event was an engaging panel discussion that included Ms. Shila Thapa, Dr. Utkarsh Karki, Dr. Sanjay Raj Thapa, and Ms. Shruti Rana, expertly moderated by Dr. Neema Shrestha. The discussion provided valuable insights and perspectives on Down syndrome.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the distinguished speakers and participants for their contributions, which made this program both impactful and meaningful.
