Nepal Flying Labs (NFL) is a not-for-profit social enterprise that makes the connection between local problems in Nepal and potential solutions offered by emerging technology solutions such as drones, robotics and artificial intelligence. Nepal is the first and a chapter of the global flying labs network currently in 32+ countries across Asia, Africa, Latin America and beyond. Nepal Flying Labs aims to bridge the technology gap between the socio-economic development needs of vulnerable, underprivileged populations and emerging technological solutions such as drones, robotics and artificial intelligence. WeRobotics (WeR) brings together decades of professional expertise and first-hand experience across multiple sectors including humanitarian aid, sustainable development, public health, nature conservation, environmental protection, business incubation and engineering. WeR is fully dedicated in accelerating and scaling humanitarian, development and environmental projects through appropriate robotics solutions. WeR represents an effort to apply the lessons learned so far from the use of drones for humanitarian aid, global development and environment protection to the fields of robotics and social automation.

Nepal Drone Ecosystem Review & Dissemination Workshop

📅 Yesterday, we concluded the Nepal Drone Ecosystem Review and Capacity Assessment Dissemination Workshop, co-hosted with the Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation (MoCTCA) and supported by the World Bank. This event gathered 150 participants—both in-person and online—including representatives from government, academia, NGOs, and other key stakeholders within Nepal’s emerging drone ecosystem.

🗣️ Four Thematic Reports Drafted and Shared at the Event:
1️⃣ Drone Regulations Framework Review
2️⃣ Drone Use by Nepal Government Organizations & Capacity Assessment
3️⃣ Drone Use in Non-Governmental Sectors & Capacity Assessment
4️⃣ Drone Integration in Academia & Capacity Assessment

🎤 Highlights: The event featured thematic presentations from experts and a dynamic panel discussion on collaborative approaches to unlock the potential of drones in Nepal. These dialogues focused on advancing safe, impactful drone applications across critical sectors.
