श्रुति द्वारा एबिलिस फाउण्डेशनको आर्थिक सहयोगमा “सुस्त श्रवण युवाहरूको रोजगार तथा स्वरोजगारका लागि क्षमता अभिवृद्धि परियोजना” सम्बन्धी प्रतिवेदन तथा पैरवी कार्यक्रम सफलतापूर्वक सम्पन्न भयो। यस कार्यक्रममा सुस्त श्रवण युवाहरूको उत्साहजनक उपस्थिति सहित अपाङ्गता क्षेत्रका संघ–संस्थाको सक्रिय सहभागीता रहेको थियो। यस कार्यक्रममा युवा तथा साना व्यवसायी स्वरोजगार कोष, काठमाडौँ महानगरपालिका, काठमाडौँ वडा नं. ४, एबिलिस फाउण्डेशन, तथा परियोजनाका पूर्व संयोजकहरूको महत्वपूर्ण प्रस्तुति रहेको थियो। सुस्त श्रवण युवाहरूले आफ्ना सफलताका कथाहरू, भोगेका चुनौतीहरू, र आगामी अपेक्षाहरू प्रस्तुति गरेर यस कार्यक्रमलाई अझ प्रभावकारी बनाउनु भएको थियो। त्यस्तै गरी धनगढी, बुटवल र पोखराका सुस्त श्रवण संघका अध्यक्षहरूले भिडियोमार्फत प्रेरणादायी सन्देश पठाइ यात्रालाई थप प्रेरित बनाउनु भएको थियो। यस कार्यक्रममा स्थानीय तह, काठमाडौँ महानगरपालिका तथा सरोकारवाला सरकारी निकायहरूले सुस्त श्रवण युवाहरूको अधिकार, क्षमता अभिवृद्धि र रोजगारीमा घनिष्ठ सहकार्य र सहयोगका लागि प्रतिबद्धता व्यक्त गर्नु भएको थियो। यस कार्यक्रमलाई प्रभावकारी रूपमा सहजीकरण गर्दै श्रुतिका संस्थापक उपाध्यक्ष श्री महेश्वर घिमिरेले महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निर्वाह गर्नुभएको थियो।

SHRUTI concluded the program on “Capacity Building Project for Employment and empowerment of Hard of Hearing Youth” successfully with the financial support of Abilis Foundation. The program observed the enthusiastic presence of hard of hearing youth and active participation of organizations in the disability sector. The program featured important presentations by the Youth and Small Business Self-Employment Fund, Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Kathmandu Ward No. 4, Abilis Foundation, and former Found project The hard of hearing youth made the program more effective by presenting their success stories, faces challenges, and future expectations. Similarly, the presidents of the hard of hearing associations of Dhangadhi, Butwal, and Pokhara sent inspiring messages through videos to further motivate the journey. In this program, the local level, Kathmandu Metropolitan City, and concerned government agencies expressed their commitment to close cooperation and support in the rights, capacity building, and employment of hard of hearing youth. SHRUTIs founding vice-president, Mr. Maheshwor Ghimire, played a significant role in facilitating this program effectively. 🎉 Parents–Teachers Interaction Program for Children with Hearing Loss! 🎉
SHRUTI successfully conducted a Parents–Teachers Interaction Program, supported by CBM Global Nepal, to strengthen collaboration between parents and teachers for the overall development of children with hearing loss.
Through meaningful discussion and shared commitment, participants agreed to work together for inclusive education and holistic growth of every child.
Heartfelt thanks to all teachers, parents, service providers, staff, and children for making this event a success! 💙

A Warm Welcome to Our Delegates from Finland!
We are honored to host Ms. Lesia Lyndova from the Abilis Foundation, Mr. Birendra Raj Pokharel, the Nepal Country Representative, and the Abilis Nepal team for a monitoring visit of our project:
“Capacity Building for Hard of Hearing and Deafened.”
It was a wonderful opportunity to share our ongoing activities and also, sharing the progress we've made together. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the hard-of-hearing members, dedicated staff, and supporters who have played a vital role in reaching this milestone.
We look forward to continuing our collaborative efforts and successfully completing the final phase of this meaningful project. Together, we are building a more inclusive future!

SHRUTI concluded 13th Annual General Meeting on 6th September 2025. The program was held with valuable presence of ward no 4 representative as chief guest. The AGM formed new executive committee as below;

We are delighted to announce the successful completion of the 10 day Barista Coffee Making Training Program for hard of hearing youth, held from 3rd to 13th August 2025.

The training concluded with a Certificate Distribution Ceremony on 15th August 2025, which was also a moment of celebration as we marked the 13th Anniversary of SHRUTI.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the trainees, would like to thank the trainer for the excellent facilitation and our sincere thanks to Abilis foundation for the continous support.

🌟 A Important and Strong Step Toward Inclusion in Lumbini Province!
We are delighted to share that a two-day training on “CRPD and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)” was successfully conducted on Shrawan 2 and 3, July 18 & 19, 2025 for Rupandehi hard of hearing association and its members in Lumbini provience, organised by SHRUTI and with the financial support of Abilis Foundation.
This program marks a significant step toward the empowerment of the Hard of Hearing (HoH) community! 🙌
🙏 On behalf of SHRUTI, we extend heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Birendra Raj Pokharel, Regional Director of Abilis Foundation, for his gracious acceptance as the chief guest and for playing a key role in making this program smooth and impactful.
💡 A major highlight of the event was also the restructuring of the Lumbini Province-level Committee under the Rupandehi Hard of Hearing Association, led by Ms. Usha Sharma, to ensure more effective mobilization and leadership.

We were truly honored to welcome Mr. Greg Klemn, Deputy Head of Mission at the Australian Embassy, to our workshop titled "Improvement of Education for Young Children with Hearing Loss in Mainstream Schools," held on 23 May 2025. This important initiative was supported by the Direct Aid Program (DAP) of the Australian Government.
Despite his demanding schedule, Mr. Klemn graciously joined us in person, actively engaged in the program, and delivered an inspiring and heartfelt speech that deeply resonated with everyone present.
We are equally grateful to Ms. Samikshya Niroula, Department Head at Kathmandu Metropolitan City, for her presence and thoughtful remarks. Her valuable insights and ongoing support significantly enriched the dialogue and direction of the workshop.
SHRUTI extends its heartfelt gratitude to both esteemed guests for their time and encouragement.
