A woman’s smile (“Muskan”) is priceless. This smile means so much when the very basic idea of personal choice, economic freedom is a far-fetched dream for Nepali women. The key understanding that women have to play an important role (in health, education, economic opportunities, and decision making) to develop a society, is central to our Muskan community. A strong and dedicated communal support i
s essential to empower women. We are building this community. As we design, make and sell authentic handmade items, we also provide the support system to address and solve the challenges these women in our community face in their daily lives. We don’t operate factories - our women work at the comfort of their own homes while tending to household needs. More importantly, we form a trustworthy and caring relationship with them to thrive as a community. From start to finish, all the items we produce are made with great care keeping in mind both aesthetics and affordability. These meticulously made products have been touched by the hands of our women. We hope you will love our products as much as we do. And we also hope they will bring smiles to your faces as well.
