In Nepal, chronic kidney disease has a tremendous burden on people who suffer from it. Dialysis and transplantation is only affordable for the relatively rich, but the wish to survive will arise in everybody even the poor.
Our foundation, Kidney Care Nepal, is committed to ease the burden and offer ways to survive for these people.

You can find more information in the following website: kidneycarenepal.org

We would like to raise funds for the following three projects. Please choose for which one you would like to donate:

1. Purchase of hemodialysis machines for the dialysis center – we need 8 machines, each costs about 15 000 USD. You can take the challenge to raise funds for one machine, asking your friends and collecting the amount together – in such a way the machine in our center will be named after your group (eg. donated by the Nepalese nurses in Australia)
2. You can donate to support the awareness and screening programs – to help people to get the treatment on time, when there is still some chance to save the kidneys. For this project you can offer a one-time donation. Even with small amounts we will be able to print educational materials, organize programs and train peer-educators who will be doing screening and education for high risk people.
3. For supporting poor patients who are undergoing maintenance dialysis you can offer a small amount regularly (eg. monthly). Just 100 USD per month for a patient can help them survive. If you opt to offer a small amount every month (eg. 10, 20, 30, 50 or more USD), we will assign your donation to one particular needy patient and we will regularly let you know how that patient is doing and how your contribution helped.
You can donate through our website at kidneycarenepal.org
