Now that we’re one week into the new year, it’s hard not to notice the sad and shocking things happening around us—many of which we can’t control. But even in the midst of these challenges, we can make a positive difference in someone else’s life.

This year, let’s challenge ourselves to ask: What kind thing can I do today, this week, or this year to lift someone else up? Who knows, this may motivate them to do the same to someone else. Pass it On!

Wishing you all the very best for 2026—may it be a year full of kindness, connection, and small acts that make a big difference.

As the year comes to a close, we’d like to wish you a very Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy New Year 🎄✨Please note...

Your sign to go for a walk today ⬆️🚶🏽‍♀️

Movement is a direct stimulus for your mitochondria (the energy factories inside your cells) that power everything from mood to metabolism.

Walking increases PGC-1α, a master regulator of mitochondrial biogenesis. That means more, healthier mitochondria to fuel your brain and buffer stress. It also elevates serotonin, norepinephrine, and BDNF (brain-derived neurotrophic factor), all of which support neuroplasticity, resilience, and emotional regulation.

At the same time, movement decreases cortisol, the body’s main stress hormone, by modulating the HPA (hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal) axis.

Your brain evolved for movement.
It solves problems best not in stillness, but in motion.

Start walking. It’s one of the most powerful forms of medicine we have.

Awesome day 1 at Bioconcepts Mastering Pathology Summit. Loved the presentation from Dr Olivia Lesslar “What is old is New Again” As well as looking at some blood markers she spoke about benefits of breathwork, cold therapy (not my favourite one, but I guess it is back to cold showers again) and heat therapy. I am definitely going to be using that infra red sauna at the clinic regularly now!

Have your kids eaten the colour of the rainbow today? Eating a variety of colourful veggies and fruit isn’t just fun, it’s also recommended for optimal health! Each colour brings unique nutrients that support growing bodies and boost the immune system.

Here’s a list of vegetables and fruit you could offer for a nutrient-packed meal:
🔴Red: tomatoes, strawberries, red bell peppers, beetroot
🟠Orange: carrots, pumpkin, papaya, apricots, grapefruit, sweet potato, oranges
🟡Yellow: yellow tomatoes, mango, yellow bell peppers, summer squash
🟢Green: broccoli, spinach, kale, cabbage, Brussel sprouts, celery
🔵Blue/Purple: blueberries, eggplant, blackberries, plums, purple grapes

Here are some fun rainbow ideas:
- fruit skewers with the colours of the rainbow
- Make 5 bowls of vegetables, one with each colour and let your children choose something from each – the veggies will last in the fridge and you can serve them several days in a row and then make the leftovers into a rainbow soup.
