Last week our monthly Blokes Lunch group enjoyed a fantastic day out, starting with a visit to Patoa Farms in Hawarden, followed by lunch on the way home at the Railway Tavern in Amberley.

The tour of Patoa Farms was incredibly impressive, giving the group a real insight into the scale and efficiency of the operation. As one of the largest pig farming operations in the Southern Hemisphere, it was fascinating to see behind the scenes and learn more about how everything works.

After the tour, the group stopped in Amberley for lunch at the Railway Tavern, where everyone enjoyed some great food and the opportunity to support a local business.

All in all, it was a great day out and thoroughly enjoyed by everyone who attended. A big thank you to both Patoa Farms and the Railway Tavern for helping make it such an enjoyable outing.

We’re excited to have AOK Clothing in the Amberley Country Estate Clubhouse today hosting a special pop-up shop for our Residents.

AOK is showcasing a beautiful range of premium New Zealand knitwear, featuring garments made from 100% NZ Merino wool, luxurious Possum fur blends, and soft Cashmere-Merino blends. The collection caters to both womenswear and menswear.

It’s a wonderful opportunity for our Residents to browse and shop high-quality, NZ-made garments right here in the Village, all while enjoying the social atmosphere of the Clubhouse.

From real-time village updates and event reminders to quick access to the Residents’ directory, emergency and safety features, daily weather, radio, and other helpful tools, Lumin is an important part of keeping our community engaged and up to date.

Lumin plays such an important role in our village, helping Residents stay connected, informed and safe — all from one simple screen in their villa. From instant village updates and event reminders, to easy access to the Residents’ phonebook, safety and emergency communication features, daily weather, radio and other helpful information, Lumin is a valuable tool that keeps our community engaged and connected. Last week, residents enjoyed a wonderful day trip in the village van to the Christchurch Botanic Gardens.

The gardens were looking absolutely incredible, with vibrant seasonal displays and beautifully maintained grounds. It was a fantastic day out exploring the various garden collections and appreciating the immense amount of work and care that goes into keeping them in such stunning condition.

We are truly fortunate to have such an outstanding attraction right here in our region — a special place to visit and enjoy together.

Grounds Team Appreciation Post 🌿

Our Grounds Team have had a very busy month across the village, working hard to ensure everything remains in tip-top shape. The unusually high January rainfall has resulted in accelerated growth across the village, keeping the team constantly on the go.

Yesterday, residents enjoyed a wonderful day out exploring Diamond Harbour. Two vans departed Amberley Country Estate bound for Lyttelton Harbour, where everyone boarded the ferry across to Diamond Harbour.

A few well-enjoyed hours were spent strolling around the village, enjoying great coffee, delicious food and most importantly, good company. Residents then boarded the ferry back to Lyttelton, where the vans were waiting for the journey home to Amberley Country Estate.

It’s always great to get out and about and enjoy our amazing region together as a community.
