Palmdale weaning done and dusted for another year. Happy with the results. Halfbred ewes weaned 160% lambs. We killed just over 50% at 19.7kg and kept the stores which were 34kg average. With such high prices its great to make the most of it. This works out to be $304 per ewe. Not to mention the $35 worth of wool still to be sold. Its no coincidence these ewes preformed like this. Check out our material wean weight EBV at the end of the reel. This is the whole RedOak stud flock average. Just outside the top 10 % on merino select. Quarter bred rams are available for sale now which are also in this reel. You will also notice something different... we are very impressed with the first lot of lambs so watch this space for more info on what we are up to with the shedder program.

With Ai in the cows all finished for this year it was time to unload some mouths. The 2025 on farm lamb sale going well with 4000 lambs heading off. Here's a quick snippet of what we've been up to. We still have some rams available for anyone that is after one also. 🐏🍁

KHANSHE won the Clarendon Hotel Waverley Open 1650 yesterday when resuming in the hands of Madan Singh.

Hearty congrats to her owners Deb and the late Rick Orr.

What a great way to kick off a campaign for this stakes winning mare.

Had the best in the biz here during the week. Mat Bailey from here muscle scanning the bulls and heifers and ticking off another job at the same time, branding them aswell. We highly recommend Mat not only for his marginal chat but the awesome job he does as well as the quality muscle scanning tech he's using to give us the best results. Bulls and heifers are coming along nicely. Looking forward to getting the scanning results back and seeing how the brands turn out.

A bit happening on the farm lately. Here are a few photos of what we've been up to. Cows all finished calving and tailing all tidied up. Nor west winds seem to be persistent in keeping any moisture from growing anything. Bit of balage still going out to cows. Some mothering up jobs on with the Stud ewes and lambs tagged and tailed. A short video of the Rom rams that will be available soon that have been tested and shown to have great worm resistance. We still have available a handful of yearling bulls suitable for heifers. Calving is well underway over the weekend. First calf born a pure NZ Bull by NZ14. A few videos of the cows out on some of the hill blocks they've wintered on. Girls are looking good and were through the yards for only a lice pour on and a shaved brand, then out behind some wires ready to go. Ewes are also set stocked and ready to kick into gear. A bit of salt mix going out to the yearling bulls and cows with the junior shepherd! The only mineral supplements they get. Finally a couple of videos of the red tag yearling bulls in the yards.

We will have a selection of yearling bulls available later on for sale privately, suitable for heifer mating's and also cow options. Please get in touch with your local agent or Mike on 0276319349 if you are after some.

Getting to the back of the catalogue and still packing a bit of punch. Check out lot 30, a half brother to lot 14. Plenty to like about this fella.

Captured these two in synchrony today! Lot 14 & 15 two cracker bulls in the middle of the catalogue. Lot 14 is Deb's pick of the sale and she has chosen to donate $5000 from the sale of this bull to Rodney Schick and the family of Windsor Park Stud. Rodney recently had a tragic accident where he suffered severe injuries and tragically lost his son Jimmy. Rodney and Rick had a great relationship and bonded over horses. When we were struggling with the loss of Rick and the drought last year he kindly sent down a truck and trailer load of baleage as a gift. A gift which meant a lot to us and kept us going in an extremely difficult time. So this one is for you Rod and family. We know that nothing will bring back what you have lost or make it any easier but we hope this small gesture can go towards something you see fit in remembrance of Jimmy. Thinking of you all ❤️🍁
