As I head in to my last 3 weeks of sheep scanning it’s nice to see some fresh lambs around the place in some warm nor west weather. Lambs on deck means tailing is upon us!

This season I’ve taken on the management of Clean Crutch Contracting’s Tailing run. Jamie Stackhouse has taken a step back from the lamb pen so I will be managing the run from now on. I have spoken to most existing clients but if anyone has any queries please don’t hesitate to give me a ring or a message. New clients are most welcome, also. I’ll be focusing on quality and workmanship to allow for the highest standard possible for our farmers, in the most efficient timeframe. I’m happy to make progressive changes for the best outcome for both farmer & contractor.

We have a good solid crew of tailers ready to tackle the season! But there’s still a couple of spots available for the right people. The run will go for approx. 6-8 weeks September through till early/mid November. If keen you must be physically fit, reliable, keen to work hard and have a good positive attitude. Ability to work in a team of 6-7 people is a must. Sheep farming experience is helpful but not fully necessary. Your efforts will be rewarded.

If this service sounds like something that will benefit your farming business then please give me a ring on 0272374155 or message me on messenger.

Same goes for any keen people wanting to join the team. Looking forward to cutting some meat! Cheers, Boc

Morning all, if you would like to help me and my band mates from Dolphin Friendly out, we have the potential to be up there in The Rock’s biggest Rock2000 Countdown! Our song Radical Desire has been playing on The Rock radio station for a few months now and through the magic of social media we reckon we can get in the Top 10!

It’s quick and simple to vote, click the link and search “Dolphin Friendly” through the “Search by Artist” option, add to number 1. Choose a few other bangers (or any random songs) and submit. Thank you! You’ll be helping our band gain some huge recognition through doing this 🙏

It's back! Vote for your most wanted rock songs now.

A very impressive result today from Fergus Mclean with his hogget scanning. They scanned 150%, had a low 7% dry rate with 11 sets of triplets. He says he owes it all to Jean and Robert Forrester for their superb Ile de France stud. Well done Ferg!

Might be a bit late but I’d suggest signing this petition! Only a day left (closes tomorrow), but the petition is to use NZ Wool in housing new builds for carpet and insulation purposes. It’s a no-brainer. Sorry I’m late to share this! Support NZ Sheep farming, especially the wool sector as it’s struggling.

Petitions are addressed to the House of Representatives and ask that the House do something about a policy or law, or put right a local or private concern.

Lucky enough to be scanning among these stunning scenic mountains today! Can anyone guess where we are? Happy hump day folks! ✌️

G’day folks,

That time of year again, back in to some scanning! Hard to believe we’re just a few days out from hitting the halfway mark of 2020, been a bit of a sh***er hasn’t it, but onwards and upwards!

Yesterday morning we had the pleasure of scanning up at the valley founded by Lee himself, and what better way to do it than in a brand new trailer built by Brook Retallick!

Hope everyone is doing well out there, stay safe team... and remember,

Last day of scanning for the 2019 season all done yesterday... Got to spend my last day scanning with this fine bunch!

A huge thank you to everyone who’s helped throughout the past three months. All who have pushed up and dotted for me, the effort put in has been unbeatable and has made for a smooth efficient operation! And of course the clients, thanks for being good bastards. Have all been a pleasure to deal with. It’s been a very enjoyable season to say the least.

All the best with everyone’s lambing, hopefully there’s no storms brewing... bring on springtime! 🐑 ✌️

Like clockwork! The boys were hard at it yesterday, didn’t skip a beat. I appreciate the effort these guys put in to keep the sheep running, makes for an easier day and even better, an early knock off! 🍻 Thanks to Michael Trotter, Jonty, Shaun & Chainsaw
