Kia ora whānau and friends,

This is our amazing little man Meihana. Just two weeks ago he was living his best life, helping to create Tangaroa Warriors – a mokopuna-led clean-up kaupapa around our motu of Kohukohu, Hokianga, picking up rubbish with his mates and caring for our whenua and moana.

He is our little rangatira and warrior. ❤️

Two weeks ago Meihana developed a sore puku. Since then his symptoms have worsened and he has now been admitted to Starship Hospital, where he and his whānau are facing an incredibly stressful and uncertain time.

If you are able, please take a minute to support his whānau by giving a koha to his page. Every dollar will help support his mum and dad while they focus on being there for their brave little boy.

Please also keep Meihana in your thoughts and prayers.

Ngā mihi nui and arohanui.

This is our amazing little man Meihana. Just two weeks ago he was living his best life, helping to create Tangaroa Warriors – a mokopuna-led clean-up kaupapa around our motu of Kohukohu, Motukara, and Hokianga, picking up rubbish with his mates and caring for our whenua and moana.

A Call for Aroha and Healing.
From a Māori Wahine Doctor and Founder of Hine Health Foundation.
To Te Pāti Māori leadership and our MPs.
Our people need to see healing.
Both sides need to listen with aroha.
Both sides need to acknowledge and validate each other’s mamae.
Both sides need to accept where things went wrong and apologise — to each other, and to us — openly, honestly, and with humility.
Te Pāti Māori leaders, Mariameno Kapa- Kingi, and Tākuta Ferris must come together with aroha to restore unity, reinstate our ousted MPs, and make things right for our people.
We need to see both sides take responsibility in a way that rebuilds trust and honour.
Our people have seen enough harm.
We have carried enough hurt.
We have endured generations of abuse — and now political abuse from a government that continues to harm our whānau.
Our people are tired.
Our hearts are tired.
Our people are dying.
Now is the time to choose healing.
To choose forgiveness.
To choose to move forward with tikanga, with tika, with pono, and above all — with aroha.
Our tamariki and mokopuna deserve leadership that heals, not leadership that harms.
Let us move forward — together, with aroha.
We have too much mahi to do for our people, and we must do it united.
Nga Mihi,
Dr Rose Harris.

What’s it like to have a female body? What is it like to be you and live in your own skin. Stretch marks, too short, too old, too muscular. There’s nothing wrong with any of those things, your body is your body and what’s more important is if we are taking care of it.

Take time for yourself, and put your health and wellness first. 🤍
