When my partner proposed to me a few years ago, we both felt like we left our bodies.

We were sooo excited and yet when the moment came, we both panicked!

This quote written by captures what we experienced so perfectly.

I have always been about trying to find clarity in things.

I’m a huge fan of “understanding why things work” the way they do.

Anyone that comes to my page can quickly see that so much of my mission is about helping others understand themselves.

My work is focused on offering people maps and frameworks that can help people make sense of their past so that they can create a different and more exciting and integrated future.

And all of that is sooo important and necessary.

Offering clarity will always remain a huge part of my work.

But at the same time, the other part of my work and of course my own journey has been to encourage a healthier relationship with the unknown.

Because not everything can be “explained” in a cookie cutter way.

Nor should it be.

Creativity and art and imagination and possibility all live and thrive in the unknown.

Embracing the complexity of our human feelings can only exist when we surrender to them.

I absolutely want my work to offer you clarity.

But I also want it to offer you a healthy dose of courage.

The kind of courage that encourages you to risk exploring things that exist beyond your mental map of how things are “supposed” to be.

The kind of courage that supports you to take healthy risks in the direction of your dreams.

So for anyone reading this that may be embarking on something new and exciting, see if you can allow some room for fear and confusion to be there too.

See if you can allow your fear to not define what you are stepping into, but rather to be a protective ally that merely wants to have your back.

See if you can begin to practice discerning between the fears that need tending to versus the fears that are merely getting in your way.
