INSIDE Laidlaw business park (entrance on Laidlaw Way)

You can also walk up those stairs on the right to level 2.
The sandwich board will be outside so it's easy to spot!
Remember the clinic is inside Bare Skin Studio 🤗

Not 10000000% done but that's only a plant related final detail.
Can't wait to welcome you all to this new space. As you can see Maisie has her bed and water bowls back so she'll be excited to see you all aswell!

Woo hooo!! As always I'm keeping things interesting!
PurposeNMT has a new home!
I have been working hard over the Christmas break trying to find a new clinic space that is comfortable, light, bright and is easily accessible for my clients.
PurposeNMT will now be located inside the clinic on Ormiston Road.

There is plenty of off street and wheelchair accessible parking with a short trot to the lift, up to the second floor and we are just there!

For clients the txt and email reminders will come with easy to follow instructions.
(If in doubt look for the lion brewery - we are just opposite on the corner!)

I'm soooooo looking forward to welcoming you to this new space.

Happy Christmas season from your favourite fur friend Maisie May!

She has been a really good girl and handling the summer heat well. Still not a fan of swimming, even when mums bought her a life jacket, she's just not into it.

The last day in clinic is Monday the 22nd December.
Monday the 12th Jan will likely be opened for bookings (instead of the first day back being Tuesday the 13th)

What was learnt/did I take away from the advanced dry needling course over the weekend?

- scar tissue needling
This is going to be so helpful for some clients who are struggling with lingering pain, stiffness or lack of movement in their scars. From joint replacement to c-section, dry needling for scars is safe and very effective.
(I even got my own bunion scar done from 17 years ago)

- fascial needling
I have already used this technique in clinic!
This can be used around the neck/where the thoracic spine begins and around the sacrum. Fascia is the spiderweb of the body and the techniques used helps to unwind fascia to provide easier movement and less pain and stiffness.

- ligament needling.
This is exactly how it sounds - Dry needling ligaments.
This requires a few specific questions around clinical reasoning as to WHY this would need to be treated.

- deep spinal muscles
Similar to the needling that has been happening in clinic already. Just on a new area of the body.
