Summer is here 🤩

With that comes the opportunity for a range of outdoor activities. Whether you're going for a swim at the beach or playing some backyard cricket, it's important to protect yourself against the harmful New Zealand sun.

Protecting yourself can be broken down into 4 easy steps. Slip, slop, slap and wrap;

☀️ Slip on clothing that covers as much skin as possible
☀️ Slop on some sunscreen
☀️ Slap on a hat
☀️ Wrap on a pair of wrap-around sunglasses

Take care and protect your skin this summer!

A quick reminder for all to ensure that you order your repeat prescriptions for the holiday period in good time. Since our clinic will have reduced hours over the Christmas period, it will be much harder to get your repeat prescriptions from an urgent care provider.

We recommend that you order your repeat prescription now through our online patient portal 😊

☀️ Apply cooling or after-sun gel

☀️ Avoid peeling skin or popping blisters
☀️ Keep your skin out of the sun until it's fully healed

If your condition worsens, contact your healthcare provider.

Are you protected against measles?

Given the recent Measles cases in New Zealand, now is a good time to ensure you are up to date with your Measles, Mumps & Rubella (MMR) vaccination.

If you experience any of the listed symptoms, we recommend that you call your GP clinic. You can ask our nurses to check your health record if you aren’t sure whether or not you're up to date with your vaccines.
