Whooping cough and measles are in our community. Before you gather with whānau this holiday season, make sure you and your whānau’s immunisations are up to date.

Protect yourself and your most vulnerable loved ones from serious illness (pēpi, hapū māmā, immune-compromised whānau, and our kaumatua).

Join us this Thursday, 11th December at 5pm at Ōtara Urgent Care.
We’ll have kai ready, so there are no excuses — let’s start the festive season protected and well.

On Friday, we kicked off Double the Local at Ōtara Town Centre and what a beautiful start 🕺
We danced, laughed and shared kai with our kaumātua.
Double the Local | Rua te Rohe is a brand-new kaupapa from Total Healthcare PHO, in partnership with Local Doctors and the Ōtara-Papatoetoe Local Board. Together, we’re bringing free Zumba classes to the town centre every Monday, Wednesday + Friday, helping our older whānau stay active, social + connected.
Why Double the Local?
Because it’s all about two local forces coming together — and doubling the number of locals moving, connecting and uplifting our community.
At its heart, this kaupapa champions hauora, connection + kotahitanga — bringing more life into Ōtara while supporting local businesses.
He mihi nui to everyone who helped bring this to life.
