Haven is officially open, and we look forward to serving you in 2026! Our first course for the year:

Buttons Project and Haven Pregnancy Support have partnered to offer the Living in Colour healing and recovery program for women who have experienced abortion, taking place on the North Shore, Auckland.

Abortion-related grief is often a taboo subject, making it challenging to process the emotional impact it can have and difficult to find closure. This unresolved loss can manifest in various ways, including depression, anger, relationship difficulties, anxiety, and substance abuse. Sometimes, its effects may not become apparent until many years later.

Living in Colour has been used successfully in many countries around the world. It gently helps you process what was happening for you at the time, who was involved and the emotional impact of the decision. The final chapter of it celebrates the process of emerging from the “grey zone” of unresolved loss into a life of greater colour and freedom.

This 8-week program runs on Monday evenings, starting on February 2nd and ending on March 30th, 2026, with a one-week break on March 9th. The sessions take place from 7:00 to 8:30 PM.

One of the lovely things I get to do is deliver baby gear bundles to moms and families and see the smiles on their faces. We have also been able to deliver some Christmas food boxes assembled by Windsor Park Baptist Church.

These are just a small part of what we have provided recently, and we can only do this thanks to the generosity of those who donate items and contribute financially. Char's Place, Haven, and the recipients of the bundles are all incredibly appreciative.

Hi everyone
Chars Place, our Haven Pregnancy Support resource centre, would like to thank you all for the many ways you gift to us so we can help Mummas and Bubbas who are facing unexpected pregnancies. Thank you for tagging us on community pages, for screeching to a halt when you see free stuff on the side of the road, knitting beautiful things, for scouring op shops, for buying clothing in sales, donating profits from your book sales (true story!), for gifting financially, for praying, for encouraging and more. Every single donation is valued and precious. No gift is too small to make a difference. We have had a Mumma hold a pair of socks and her baby became a reality to her - not a clump of cells but a precious little person. We have had Mummas keep hand knitted blankets long after bubba has outgrown them because it is a symbol of how they felt wrapped in love at a time when they were so alone.
The last 10 days have been extremely busy with loads of gear donated- we are so thankful but will NOT be taking any more donations until next year please!
If you know a Mum and Bub in need over the holiday season please connect - will will make sure they are clothed and have a safe place to sleep!
Thanks for being part of the team - we could not do this without YOU! ❤️

For some, Christmas can be a tender time — a season that brings both memories and longing. Windsor Park Baptist Church is doing a Blue Christmas Service, which is a gentle, candlelit service designed for those walking through pain, loss, or heartache this Christmas.

Through reflection, music, and moments of stillness, they'll make space for the God who meets us in our grief and gently renews our hope. Come as you are; here, your story belongs, and you are not alone.

Join us in the Kauri Room at Windsor Park Baptist Church on Sunday, December 14th at 7pm.

Important Update 💙

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we have had to cancel our planned Cherish event, which was scheduled to take place during Baby Loss Awareness Week on Friday, 10th October. We are truly sorry for any disappointment this may cause.

Though we can’t gather in person, we remain united in remembrance, love, and support.

We will post other events that are happening during Baby Loss Awareness accordingly, and we will have some gift packs available to create your own keepsake.

Take care and be gentle with yourself.

Our Cherish event is just three weeks away! It is open not only to men and women who have experienced miscarriage, but also welcomes all who have experienced baby loss, along with their family and friends. We gently hold space for grief, remembrance, and connection.

We have been preparing for the evening by applying a base coat on the stones, as shown in the photos. You don’t need to be an artist; you can make dots or write your baby's name on your keepsake. It is honouring memories through art and connection.

Please join us in honouring and remembering the little lives that left a lasting imprint.

At Haven Pregnancy Support, we understand the profound pain of losing a baby, and we are here to offer compassion and support during such a difficult time. We are incredibly grateful for the wonderful services provided by Windsor Funerals. Hazel and her team provided a beautiful Farewell Cocoon for one of our families, allowing them to carry their baby with love and dignity. They also arranged a peaceful setting for the farewell, which brought comfort to those involved.

We wholeheartedly recommend Windsor Funerals for their compassionate and gentle approach to guiding families through the heartache of loss. Furthermore, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the Windsor Funeral team for their generous donation to Haven Pregnancy Support, one of the services provided by Windsor Park LifeCare Trust. This support not only enhances the assistance we provide to mothers, babies, and families in our community but also reinforces our shared commitment to care and compassion in times of sorrow.

Today, we observe National Rainbow Baby Day on August 22nd to honour rainbow babies, remember those who came before them, and acknowledge each parent's journey.

After losing a baby during pregnancy or infancy, the experience of pregnancy is forever changed. A subsequent pregnancy can feel like a balancing act between happiness and sorrow, hope and anxiety. A rainbow baby is cherished and longed for, but parents who have experienced loss understand that there are no certainties. While a rainbow baby can never take the place of the baby who passed away, they deserve to be celebrated and recognised as part of the family’s journey, while always keeping the memory of their beloved baby who died in their hearts.

We celebrate with this family on the safe arrival of their precious baby girl. ❤👣
