One of the services that Ostend Medical Centre and Waiheke Health Trust provide is monthly community clinics for our patients at WISH TRUST Waiheke Island Supported Homes Trust and the Waiheke Retirement Village.

Erica and Ani headed off to the retirement village this morning with all their gear in tow and a full morning of patient appointments planned. What a day for it!

As always, thanks to the incredible Waiheke Tennis Club for making sure that our team always arrive in style in our fully funded fleet.

What's the best way to protect yourself and your loved ones this winter? Get your flu jab organised! This year's vaccine is available from 1 April and recommended for everyone 6 months and over.

Ostend Medical Centre is running its annual flu vaccine clinic for our registered patients from 1-8 April, so give us a call on 372 5005 to book your appointment today.

The vaccine is free for anyone 65 years and older, pregnant people and children and adults with many long-term and respiratory conditions. For everyone else, we're keeping the price of $35 the same as last year to encourage everyone to get protected.

The drawing celebrates ProCare's 30 years of supporting primary care in Aotearoa New Zealand. We feel the love from them everyday and feel really fortunate to be a part of the whānau.

Things can sneak up when you're on island time, so a gentle reminder to our patients that Ostend Medical Centre will be closed on Auckland Anniversary Day and Waitangi Day.

Please make sure that you're up to date with your prescriptions so that you don't get caught short over the long weekends!

When you register with Ostend Medical Centre, one of our wonderful nurses - like Barbara - completes a full, in-person health check with you to make sure that your first visit with the doctor is as efficient and effective as possible.

We think it's a great system, and are so glad that new patients really see the value, also!
