The team at Ostend Medical were really touched to receive this beautiful drawing of a huia feather from the fabulous duo of Allan and Lis from ProCare.

The drawing celebrates ProCare's 30 years of supporting primary care in Aotearoa New Zealand. We feel the love from them everyday and feel really fortunate to be a part of the whānau.

Things can sneak up when you're on island time, so a gentle reminder to our patients that Ostend Medical Centre will be closed on Auckland Anniversary Day and Waitangi Day.

Please make sure that you're up to date with your prescriptions so that you don't get caught short over the long weekends!

When you register with Ostend Medical Centre, one of our wonderful nurses - like Barbara - completes a full, in-person health check with you to make sure that your first visit with the doctor is as efficient and effective as possible.

We think it's a great system, and are so glad that new patients really see the value, also!

We're thrilled to introduce the newest addition to our Ostend Medical Centre family, especially as it's not often that we have such a close connection to celebrate ... meet Dr Amy Nunn, sister of our wonderful Dr Zoe Douglass!

Our patients have been taking great advantage of virtual consults over the past few years, so Amy has now signed on to provide telehealth services for our patients from her home in Wānaka.

Amy says, 'Kia Ora, Waiheke! I moved from the UK to NZ to be near my sister, Dr Zoe, and am delighted to now be able to work alongside her. I love being a GP and I’m passionate about proactive, lifestyle medicine and women’s health. I’m also a Wānaka resident, enthusiastic outdoor adventurer and mother to a fabulous 11 year old.'
