"Worry does not empty tomorrow of its sorrow; It empties today of its strength."

I see so many people worrying about things they cannot control. This only serves to heighten their anxiety and disempower them. Living in the moment and practicing being present allows us to stay in our strength and meet each challenge as it comes with all of who we are. Trust yourself. Let go of worry. xx

I heard this saying last night and really liked it.

"My mother told me broken things are beautiful because the light shines through the cracks."

Do something about your stress before your stripes fall off!

Stress is one of the most, (if not the most) insidious influencers in the modern world. It is a major underlying cause of illness, emotional disturbances, sleep disturbances, relationship disturbances....the list could go on and on.

Managing your stress requires self awareness and commitment to self. It's what you do everyday that makes the difference to your stress levels. What does your daily routine look like? Is it supporting you in your life?

A note on courage :-)

When we are faced with a difficult situation we have a choice: we can either be resentful, and try to find someone or something to blame, or we can face the challenge and grow.

Flowers show us the way. A flowers passion for life leads the seed out of darkness and into the light. There is no point in fighting against the challenges of life, or trying to avoid or deny them. They are there. If we (the seed) are to become the flower, we must grow through the challenges.

It is safe and secure inside the shell of the seed and a seed can lay in darkness for a millennia never knowing the beauty of the flower. But once the seed makes an effort, it becomes the sprout and for the sprout there are many dangers as it reaches for the warmth of the sun.

Be courageous enough to grow into the flower you are meant to be!

Mindfulness is a natural human process. We gravitate to it naturally from birth. In fact, the older we get the more distracted we can be!

We can divide mindfulness into 2 basic categories- informal and formal mindfulness.

Informal mindfulness is a natural and organic process. It happens when we are fully engaged in something. It can happen when we are working out, talking with a friend, cooking a meal, involved in a stimulating project, etc. The outcome is we are fully present and aware of the moment.

Formal mindfulness is when you consciously sit down and practice being present and aware. You might use a process, method or technique to do this. The more we practice formal mindfulness the more it grows informal mindfulness.
