There are so many myths and misconceptions about the pelvic floor.

It’s not just something that matters:-
- after childbirth

The pelvic floor is part of your core canister. It works in relationship with your diaphragm, deep abdominals and breath.

Which means if you experience:-
😩Leakage
😮‍💨Breathing issues or anxiety
🙄Poor core stability
😢Chronic back or pelvic pain

You may want to consider connecting with your pelvic floor and learning about how it requires relaxation, coordination, nervous system regulation and intelligent support.

A self paced online course with 32 videos to help you:-
✨Understand your pelvic floor anatomy in a practical way.
✨Improve breathing mechanics

Embodied Intelligence: Functional Anatomy Training.
March 26-29

Anatomy isn’t something to memorise.
It’s something to feel.

This 4 day immersion is for teachers and movement professionals who want to move beyond textbook cueing and truly understand how the body organises itself in motion.

We’ll explore:-
😮‍💨Breath as the foundation for stability.
💪Mobility, stability and flexibility and what “tight” really means.
🧱Load, adaptability and resilience and why injuries occur.
❤️‍🩹 How to work intelligently with injuries or limitations.
💪Repetition vs variability and why better movers have more movement options.
🧠The role of the nervous system in strength and flexibility.
🤔How to assess and sequence intelligently for one to one or specialist populations.

A course that beautifully weaves western movement science with eastern yogic philosophy.

You’ll leave with not only more knowledge but the ability to discern and think critically about movement and asana.

If you want to move beyond outdated cues, to teach real bodies in an empowering way and work confidently one to one then this course is for you.

What an epic weekend of community, connection, laughter, dancing, art, performances, creativity and presence.

What I love about festival life is the dropping out of routine, schedules, and creature comforts and immersing yourself in the moment to moment action. Festival feet 👣, dancing barefoot in the sand, and how good a shower feels at the end of the night.

Getting to dress up and having multiple costume changes, seeing all of the incredible costumes and doof sticks, the epic art installations and lasers and the fabulous music.

Dancing with friends, making new friends and just being totally present not worrying about what’s next.

Heart is definitely full.

thanks for another wonderful festival.

In a world that so often shows us only the shiny, happy, polished, and perfectly edited moments, I think it’s important to share the humanness too.

The messiness.
The mistakes.
The multiple takes that lead to the final product.

As humans, we’re often afraid to try something new for fear of getting it wrong, but it’s the mistakes, missteps, and “faaarrkk” moments that actually lead to growth and success.

So here are some of my outtakes from my new online course 🤍
Because this work was made by a real human, learning as she goes.

I’m beyond excited to be presenting at the Innovation Conference again this year. 🫶.

My topic this year is chronic pain. Something that affects nearly 30% of people worldwide. It can be incredibly debilitating, frustrating, isolating and exhausting.

When we understand the nervous system’s deep need for safety and work with practices like somatics and restorative yoga to rebuild trust and safety in the body, we can help people step out of these persistent pain cycles.

This work opens the door for more ease, joy and freedom, not by pushing harder but by feeling safer and softer.

It is possible to hold multiple truths.

To feel grief and gratitude.

To feel joy and anguish.

To feel pleasure and pain.

To feel anger and love.

What’s important is not to dull or shut any of the emotion down but rather to feel it all.

And when you are with others, allow them to also feel the fullness of their being.

Be present, be yourself, be honest, be.

That’s what I wish we did more of. Listening and being with each other and feeling safe enough to be ourselves.

Be the shiny disco ball 🪩.

PS I picked up this dress and matching jacket at a Hospice store. I knew it had to come home with me.

Weight training is also a great compliment to yoga as you can progressively load the tissues.

Your tendons, muscles and bones love load. It’s helps them grow strong and resilient.

Your nervous system loves load as it helps it build capacity, resilience and the recognition that YOU CAN!

Not to mention all of the hormones and neurotransmitters that get released in response to loading tissue.

Weight training can help with injury prevention, improved proprioception and neuromuscular control.

The team are great at meeting you where you are at and helping you build strength no matter your age or fitness level.

I love yoga 🫶 and I also know that for longevity in practice and in life, adding some strength training really matters. 🏋

Progressive loading supports bone density 🦴and muscle mass, helping reduce the risk of osteopenia and sarcopenia as we age. It also balances the tissues we use repeatedly in yoga, so our practice stays resilient rather than repetitive.

Here are some great strength exercises to complement yoga:

• Deadlifts — excellent for loading the posterior chain. Yoga already uses these tissues a lot, so progressive strength work helps prevent issues like proximal hamstring tendinopathy (“yoga butt”).

• Chest press — a perfect companion for chaturanga (yes, it’s a push-up). Building chest and arm strength supports controlled lowering and healthier shoulders.

• Bulgarian split squats — fantastic for single-leg strength and quad loading. There’s plenty of quadriceps work in yoga, and this adds strength through range.

• Hanging & pull-ups — great for lat length, grip strength, and pulling capacity. Yoga doesn’t include much pulling, so this is an important counterbalance and supports overhead loading in shapes like down dog and inversions.

Yoga builds awareness, mobility, and connection.
Strength training helps keep the body strong enough to keep practising.

Thanks to and for keeping me strong and resilient.

Look out for more tips on how to compliment your yoga practice.
