About the role:
Te Ora Puāwai is seeking a Primary Care Nurse and Nurse Practitioner to join our dedicated Waiora Wellness Centre Clinical team in Mangere, Auckland.

These roles will involve providing high-quality primary healthcare services within our community-focused clinic, helping patients proactively manage their health. What you'll be doing:
You will contribute to improving health and well-being outcomes through comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, prescribing, and ongoing management of patients' health conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting comprehensive patient assessments and treatment planning
- Administering vaccinations, immunisations, and other treatments as required
- Prescribe medicines within your authorised scope of practice
Manage long-term conditions and minor acute presentations
- Deliver health promotion, education, and preventive care
- Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Supporting the smooth operation of the clinic through various administrative tasks
- Uphold Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles in practice
What we're looking for:
A confident and compassionate clinician who values holistic, culturally safe, family-led care and enjoys working autonomously within primary health care.
- Must hold current registration as a Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner with the Nursing Council of New Zealand
- A current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC)
- A Primary Care Nurse Prescriber or Nurse Practitioner qualification and nursing council authorisation would be an advantage
- Previous experience in general practice or primary healthcare would be an advantage
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse patients
- The ability to speak Cook Islands Maori fluently would be an advantage
- Proficient in health assessment, treatment planning, and patient education
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- A commitment to equity, quality improvement, and professional development
