Not every day in Aotearoa is made for being outside 🌿
When weather or time gets in the way, slow, immersive nature through your screen can still support wellbeing.
We’re often taught to wait for sunshine to feel better - but wellbeing isn’t limited to blue skies ☁️🌧️
In this article, we explore why wellbeing isn’t limited to sunshine - and share simple, practical ways to work with imperfect weather rather than against it.
February's here, and we've got something new for you 🌿
This month we're diving into why getting outside actually works - the science, the benefits, and a small challenge to help you reconnect with nature.
Start with one screen-free walk this week and stay tuned as we explore this more throughout the month 🚶♀️ ☀️

We’re hosting a live online conversation with JK and Dr Fiona Crichton to talk about the ripple effects of emergency events and practical ways of coping when disaster strikes.

Thanks Forbes for the feature and deep dive on Groov, our workplace platform and wellbeing partnership with New Zealand Rugby.
"With Groov’s platform, offices around the world are being given the tools to help their workers feel good, function better and maintain happy and healthy lifestyles.
“With the All Blacks looking to lift a fourth Rugby World Cup by the end of October, there is no better moment for the two organizations to raise awareness about a proactive approach to mental wellbeing. The two organizations will benefit from mutual collaboration, putting mental performance at the forefront in business and in sports.
Groov is teaming up with New Zealand Rugby as its official wellbeing partner - helping highlight mental health on and off the field.

We've reached the last day of Mental Health Awareness Week's Five Ways, Five Days theme, and for the fifth Way to wellbeing we're focusing on Keep Learning ❤️
Keeping your brain active and learning is great for your mental health and a fantastic way to keep mental health front of mind all year round.
Give these Keep Learning activities a go today:

🤓 Take a course. Whether it's cooking, pottery or career development, trying your hand at something different is a great thing to do to engage your brain.

These are just a few of the things many individuals in the workplace struggle with, yet lack the tools and knowledge on how to better equip themselves. Left unattended, these small stressors can build up over time leading to more serious mental health problems.
Sir John Kirwan has seen this time and time again as the face of mental health and depression.org in NZ for the last 15 years. Although his contribution has been immense, the mental health stats continue to go in the wrong direction.
Empowering individuals to take control of their mental wellbeing and prevent them ever reaching that state was key for JK and serial tech entrepreneur Adam Clark when they founded Mentemia. The mental wellbeing platform is helping everyone learn and understand that with small changes they can feel happier, healthier and more resilient both at home and at work.
With evidence-based, clinically proven tools and techniques, Mentemia is delivered in an engaging, accessible, approachable way on employee phones. Think of it as a wellbeing coach in the pocket of all your people.
Mentemia is gifted by employers to their people so they can feel better equipped for whatever the day throws at them. They have some of NZ's leading enterprises as their customers.
