Mythosoma is a visceral dance theatre work by (our dance and theatre company) that asks: Where does the body hold what we cannot name? How does the work of remembering — breath, touch, trajectory — become a force that propels us forward?

This piece follows a woman whose sense of self fractures through trauma and dissociation, and traces the long arc of returning — to body, to soul, to presence.

The work is shaped by Kelly’s own journey through physical harm, surgery, grief, and the fierce, ongoing work of reconnection.

ConTact C.A.R.E principles live in both Mythosoma and the clinic: tasks that prompt skeletal listening, pressure-for-pressure, and relational presence through solo and partner work — the same sensory terrain that supports artistic excellence.
Performers Georgie Goater, Caleb Heke, and Jada Narkle have all trained in ConTact C.A.R.E and Practitioner and trainer Nancy Wijohn is also performing, while Kelly Nash directs.

Humans by day and humans by night!

We where lucky enough to be at the AUM festival this New Years sharing ConTact C.A.R.E workshops to the festival goers.

It was the first time we have ever received applause as people witnessed the releases happen right before there eyes!

Recently back from Melbourne, we met Wade, who farms and lives rurally with his whānau.

We have spent decades in professional dance, sport and movement direction - and it shows up in how we teach ConTact C.A.R.E.

Dance has trained our eyes to see weight, timing and breath - and to notice what doesn't move.
It also trained our bodies to have strong balance, alignment and the ability to support another person in unusual positions without strain.

In CC terms this means recognising the skeletons self defence after a surprise impact, using stillness to let bone pressure drop and supporting in comfort so the body can unravel back to normal function rather than being forced. Thats why we can teach you to handle complex situations calmly and clearly.

If you want a session with us or practical tools grounded in bone mechanics, stillness and reciprocal balance, taught by people who can physically demonstrate safe support in real, not text book positions- come train with us.

Huge thanks to the incredible for bringing us back together with — our connection goes all the way back to meeting on the 6 Nations Reserve in Canada nearly 9 years ago!

While they toured Aotearoa, we had the joy of sharing a ConTact C.A.R.E workshop with the company and offering hands-on CC sessions. Always a privilege to support dancers and open the body’s possibilities through this work.

We’re excited about future kōrero around bringing CC into the Vancouver community — keep your eyes peeled 👀🌿

We also took a beautiful trip into the hills to visit CC practitioner Sheelagh in Wellington and had the chance to connect with the our incredible friends from the Yirramboi Festival in Naarm 🖤🖤🖤✨

We are back in the clinic in Mt Albert giving sessions and have a Foundation Course July 19th/20th in Auckland.

Working with Animals 🐴🐶🐱🐰🐮

We’ve worked on all kinds of animals over the years—horses, dogs, cats, bunnies, cows—and still do!
Animal work has been part of our practice since day one, giving us insights into how they move, respond, and protect themselves.

Living in central Auckland means we don’t get out to the farms as often these days. But whenever we do get our hands on an animal, it’s a reminder: the real work is often with humans.

Because animals? They can’t hide injuries for long—like a lame horse that can’t hide its pain anymore and starts to look like prey.
They show us what happens when the reptilian brain kicks in—fight, flight, freeze.
They teach us about pack mentality, herd behavior, and the survival instincts that are still in us, even in city life.

And every time we work with an animal, it brings us right back to that foundation: learning how to see, how to read, and how to respect what’s really going on in the body—whether it’s an animal or a human.
