Twenty years ago today we, Tania and Kelly, started Hands On Rehab in a small two bedroom cottage in Forrest Hill on Aucklands North Shore!

With an amazing team, both past and present, we have grown into the Hands On we are today - 11 sites, 49 amazing therapists and 11 super administrators!

We have had amazing support from our team, whānau, friends, referrers and couldn’t have done it without each and every one of them!

Due to the Covid-19 response and the community transmission of Omicron New Zealand is now at a red traffic light situation.

What does this mean for us at Hands On?

It means that our priority is for the health, safety and well-being of our patients and our staff as well as ensuring that patients injuries are managed well in a timely manner.

These are the measures that Hands On are taking
👉 Scan the QR code for contact tracing
👉 All patients are screened for Covid-19 signs and symptoms especially the most common Omicron symptoms
👉 If possible all paperwork is completed electronically
👉 Hygiene standards continue to be high
👉 All our staff are fully vaccinated
👉 Masks are worn in the clinic
👉 Patients are asked to remain in their cars until they are called and screened
👉 If you are unwell 🤧 we ask that you transfer your appointment to a video consultation (tele-health) if this is appropriate or reschedule to a later date. Also please get a test.

It has been eight long weeks in lockdown, and we are very grateful to all our co-workers - human and others! They make working from home so much better, watch our little video and get to know them a little better 🐱 🐶

It has been seven weeks already and counting! We are pulling out all the stops to get this out there and have it accepted that Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Hand Therapists are part of an essential workforce. So important for us to get to see our patients in person again to get them back to function!
