It’s been a while, ladies! As we transition from spring to summer, the Ladies Walking Club (LWC) warmly invites women of all ages and fitness levels to join us for a walk along the Logan Carr Reserve – Point View Drive Walkway. This trail is conveniently located for those living in and around Somerville, Mellons Bay, Pakuranga, Half Moon Bay, Bucklands Beach, Dannemora, Botany, and Whitford.
From 585 Chapel Road (next to the Botany Downs Secondary College), ladies will enjoy this flat walkway until we reach Point View Drive.
According to Auckland Council, the path passes lush bush and crosses a stream that provides essential habitat for a range of aquatic fish and invertebrate species.

The paved pathway is well-maintained. There is one section where you must cross Kilkenny Drive, a busy road with no pedestrian crossing.
At Kilkenny Drive, there's a colorful kids' playground and some seating for caregivers under the shady trees. You'll also find outdoor gym equipment for a fun open-air workout in the fresh air.
It would take about 45 minutes to walk from the entrance of 585 Chapel Road to Point View Drive. Ladies can choose to return to the same pathway if feeling enough. This back-and-forth walk is about 5 km in total in 1h20'.
Some ladies might want to challenge themselves to go further, then we can keep walking from Point View Drive, moving on the main road until we see Chapel Road, and bring us back to where we started. This path is about 7km with an estimated time of 2 hours.
Ladies should park our cars in Botany Town Centre. And when we finish our walk, we can have plenty of options for coffee or brunch there.
Dogs should be on a leash.
The walking events run by LWC are free.
