Senses of February
Sight - Ronnie Scott’s, very specifically the ceiling 😍
I’ll be replaying that evening for months but WOW the acoustics and just the level of detail and craftsmanship, I saw a TV show once on how ceilings changed our brains and emotions and I think if I lived in Ronnie Scott’s I’d be like Frida Kahlo
Sound - This has to be Jill Scott, “To Whom it May Concern” delivers! I’ve been listening to albums like its the 90’s recently, cover to cover as the artist intended. slow and immersive, no phone or distractions, it’s really brought me back to how much I love music.
Smell - Fresh coffee at the studio in the mornings which totally contradicts my point about tea (to follow) but I’m a woman of contradictions and thanks Leanne that detail really makes my mornings ☀️
Taste - Royal Masala Chai from a little Indian supermarket I found. Warm, nourishing like a little hug in a cup
Touch - I’ve been spending time drawing and writing more creatively through Feb (just for the joy of it not with an agenda to be any good),the feel of fresh pages, tactile and simple.
So anyways this is my new little round up, coming back to the senses each month.
