Marina Physio is a Physiotherapy clinic providing injury management and treatment at the Half Moon Bay Marina. The clinic is staffed by Physiotherapists who are university educated beyond industry and association standards and provide excellence in their fields. We are here to assess and treat your sports, spinal, work-related and musculoskeletal injuries, your osteoarthritic conditions, and to deliver Activity Works programmes for people with chronic health conditions. We also have female Physiotherapists specialised in treating Women's Health conditions including incontinence, prolapses and pelvic pain. Services include injury management advice, manual therapy, spinal manipulation, exercise prescription, acupuncture and rehabilitation programmes. We are an ACC registered provider, hold an ACC Physiotherapy Services contract and various ACC rehabilitation contracts.

All levels of ankle sprain risk developing into chronic ankle instability (CAI).

CAI is when the ankle continues to have pain and the propensity to keep rolling.

Even at 12 months post ankle sprain, there are still significant deficits in balance, mobility and strength. This is despite returning to what the patient feels is normal activity.

Following an accurate diagnosis, a treatment plan and rehabilitation regime can be implemented which is very effective in short- and long-term management.
