Melanoma New Zealand’s Skin Cancer Spot Check Van will be in Greenhithe next Wednesday to offer free skin cancer spot checks and raise awareness about the importance of early detection and prevention of melanoma.

The FREE spot check van will be at the following location:

Greenhithe Village Shops
8 Greenhithe Road
Greenhithe

Wednesday 2nd March
11.30am to 3.30pm

If you are planning on attending, please remember this is a public event and spot checks will be provided on a first come, first served basis.

Yesterday we had a talk from Gill Melanoma New Zealand. Giving us a refresher about skin lesions - what is benign and what is sinister. We even got a turn with the derma-scope to check out our own lesions!

Thanks Deb for organising & reminding us to look after our skin.

Deb is riding the length of NZ to raise money for Melanoma NZ and Hospice in memory of her late husband, Dave.

Our lovely morning receptionist, Deb, finished up with us on Monday & is about to embark on her next big adventure - riding the length of New Zealand (3000kms!) We wish you all the best Deb 💛 we will miss you!

How it started vs. how it’s going

Back in 2016 when we first moved into the Hobson Centre, I never would have imagined working the way we are currently - spaced appointments, limited people in the clinic, face shields, locked front door & scanning in upon arrival 😷 what an interesting time to be in business! 👀

Despite all the restrictions, the team and I are so thrilled to be back! 👣💪🏼😃

There is a little confusion amongst our community, to clarify: we are OPEN in level 3 at a reduced capacity. Please get in touch if you have any foot/ankle/leg issues. We will run through some screening questions with you and either book you for Telehealth or to be seen in person, depending on your issues.

What we are doing to stay safe:
Limited staff on site ✅
Wearing the correct PPE ✅
Spacing appointments out to ensure plenty of time to clean between appointments and ventilate the clinic rooms ✅
COVID screening ✅
QR code scanning ✅

We are thrilled to be back in the clinic doing what we love 👣
