🎉🚧 IT’S HAPPENED! 🚧🎉

It is with great joy that we can officially announce that the road closure is OVER! 🙌

Kenderdine Rd is open again and now features a shiny new roundabout where Bridge St and Milan Rd meet.

Traffic is flowing, spirits are high, and GPS directions finally make sense again. 🙌

Huge relief all round — we couldn’t be happier! 🎉Drive safe out there guys!

It’s been a little while since our last update, and we wanted to take a moment to reconnect 💛

The past few months have been full. Like many communities, we’ve experienced both beautiful moments and some very sad goodbyes recently. We’ve said farewell to some truly special residents who will always hold a place in our hearts. We are so grateful to have shared in their stories, their laughter, and their lives.

At the same time, life here has continued in all its richness — with sunny days in the garden, shared meals, activities, and the everyday moments that make this place feel like home.

We’ve really missed sharing our little updates with you all, and we look forward to getting back into sharing more of these moments again.

Thank you for being here with us, for your support, and for being part of our extended family 🌿

A very Merry Christmas from the KP whanau! 🎄 ❤️

We had a full blown Christmas fare luncheon for all of our residents and staff this Christmas day, and enjoyed Carolers in the halls a few days before. We are so grateful for the joy everyone has shared with us!

Big thanks to our amazing crew who keep showing up with love and joy for our residents everyday, and especially making people feel seen during the holidays. 🥰

To our families who have also recognised our amazing staff this season, you are all so appreciated!! ❤️💚🫶🙏

Oh what fun we've had today at KP!!! 😁😁😁

Well really, the whole month of December so far as Santa's chief Elf Rosy has decked the halls this year with so much fa la la we have all been fizzing!🥳

Our resident Christmas party is a wonderful way for our KP whanau to enjoy some holiday cheer together, as some will be out with friends and family over Christmas itself. 🥰

Mike bought us an hour of singing to kick off the morning 🎶🎸

Jasma cooked us up a traditional Christmas fare for lunch, with help from our night shift who prep all of our delicious veggies for roasting during the day. 🥔🥕🍠🍗

Our awesome day shift loved, cared and prepared all of our residents to enjoy their day, then danced around with joy while waiting for our man in the big suit! 👩‍⚕️💃💅

Santa and moko-Claus made a list and checked it twice.. they figured out who's naughty and nice..😁🎅🧑‍🎄

There were treats, love and full bellies for everyone today, and I am pretty sure everyone will sleep well tonight. Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night! 😁🎄🤶

🎄✨ What a magical morning at Kenderdine Park! ✨🎄

We were absolutely delighted to welcome Holy Cross School Papatoetoe 's Mr T and his amazing group of Year 6 and 7 girls (and a bonus Year 6 boy!) who filled our halls with the most beautiful Christmas carols 🎶🎅. Their voices brought so much joy and festive cheer to our residents!

Not only did they sing their hearts out, but they also delivered some lovely goodies 🍪🎁 to our residents — including those who couldn’t make it to join us. What a thoughtful gesture! 💖

In return, we were thrilled to gift adorable teddy bears 🧸 dressed in hand-knitted outfits by our very own Heather 🧶✨. Our residents’ smiles said it all — pure happiness and holiday spirit all around! 😄💞

A huge thank you to Mr T and his wonderful students for spreading so much joy and festive magic 🎄❤️! You made this Christmas season extra special! 🌟

🎉 Celebrating 30 Years of Care 🎉

Today marks 30 years of service as a proud family-owned aged care facility!

Over the years, we’ve had the honour of supporting more than 500 families, growing from a small and leisurely rest home into a busy private hospital, providing complex long-term medical support and palliative care services as our community’s needs have evolved.

It has truly been our privilege to care for so many wonderful residents and to walk alongside their families. We’re equally grateful for our incredible team—many of whom have been with us for decades. Their compassion is the heart of everything we do.

Today, we’re marking the occasion in a simple but special way—with some decorations, live music, and cake for our residents, and a relaxed celebration for our staff this evening. We’re quietly excited to take a moment to appreciate how far we’ve come and the people who’ve made it possible.

Here’s to 30 years of care, growth, and community—and to many more ahead. ❤️
